    The Penzance Arrived

Pretty special stuff isn't it? They just got a shipment and they were charging eighteen dollars a tin? (That reminds me.....I'm down to a 1/4 tank. Gotta go get screwed at the pump today.)

Aromatic ? Or not aromatic ?

Under the assumption that each one of us may have a slightly different opinion of where the line is drawn between the two, and not knowing where to draw that line myself,…..I often resort to looking at either the blender's notes or smoker's reviews for the word "Aromatic". I’ve always been told...

February 2011 - What are you smoking? II

 Wow Igloo, I am impressed,....for a while now I've been testing the theory that nobody actually reads these posts, they just want everyone to know what they've been smoking. I've posted stuff like that before and nobody noticed. :D

    What Did You do Today?

Went to Mass,....came home and ate the first solid food in three days, you never know how good riced potatoes, steamed carrots and broccoli are, till you live on Gatorade for half a week. Getting a bowlful ready to go so I can go relax in the big leather recliner and read some more of...

    Burley Brawl

I have to agree with Romeo,.....the nicotine is there but it's barely noticable, at least by me. I don't like nicotine anymore, I got my fill for years. The room note is really nice for a burley, where as Carter Hall and Prince Albert, two popular burleys, smell of roll your own cigarettes...

    What Did You do Today?

Nice El Camino! I had a '64. I spent the entire day at church, well till 5 o'clock anyhow. While waiting for the priest to get there, I had four hens and a tom walk in front of my car at about 6:15 am. The tom noticed me and puffed up like a Thanksgiving Day Card! Beautiful.

    Bad Aroma

Flat4driven,....you are NOT alone. I smoked cigarettes for decades before switching to pipes for the next few decades. Yes, you smell stale tobacco smoke and it can be nasty. Just this morning I had to drive about one mile in my car,.....instead of letting my pipe go out before leaving and...

    Mixing It Up?

The only "mix" I tried was adding Latakia to some Really Crappy Blend in an attempt to save the stuff from the trash can,...and as I was warned by fellow posters the result was no less than a total waste of decent Latakia. The RCA got dumped anyhow. A blend of two tobaccos you like might be...

    Burley Brawl

I've been singing the praises of Burley London Blend for some time now. Nutty and faintly sweet with a hint of cocoa but none of the soapiness I get from a few other burleys, it's become one of my regular smokes. I highly recommend you give it a try. Thank you kindly Romeowood,....I'm so glad...
