    Blends Similar to Capstan Blue?

Yeah maybe I did not express myself correctly. I’m not looking for a replacement and I will be deep cellaring Capstan. I‘m more interested to pin point what kind of Va are in there to find other blends that I will like as much!

    Blends Similar to Capstan Blue?

So after 7 years of casual pipe smoking, I really got the hang of it this summer and smoked mainly my pipes instead of cigars. I really fell for some aged Capstan blue and Dunhill deluxe navy rolls. Now that I know I like Capstan as a pure Va blend, I’m now looking for similar as good blends to...

    Aging tobacco in the basement

Yeah. I thought that rust would be the problem. So what would be a safe humidity range for long term storage?

    Aging tobacco in the basement

So the title says it all. We recently bought a 1950 bungalow and I now have a nice office in the basement. I have all my tins and jars in a wood cabinet. The only thing is that like any old basement, it's cold and humidity is kind of high. Is there any problems for long term storing? If so, is...

Blatter & Blatter from Quebec - How to Purchase?

Sadly they are a bit old school and they don't sell online. I know you can order pipes by phone but not sure about baccy with all our Canadian laws! Give them a call they are really cool. For sure you should come down one day, Montreal is a cool city and Blatter shop is awesome!

    JackKnife Plug

I am a big fan of Va and burley blends too! I am not a big fan of perique myself and really love Triple play! For something with a bit less nicotine punch you got to try Solani Silver flake, it's my absolute favorite! Sweet and smokey/spicy! With that said Silver flake still have a nice over...

    Getting into straight Virginias

What I usually do is once I'm done smoking I put a pipe cleaner into the stem and push it to the bowl. If it's really wet I'll add another pipe cleaner into the bowl. I deep cleaner with alcohol after 3-4 bowls usually.

    Getting into straight Virginias

What I find funny is that the 2-3 times I really enjoyed HU Sunset or Klondike is when I went outside to take a couple of puff for like 15 minutes while I was working (working from home now). So I lit the pipe quickly and puff kind of fast. Went back to it for another 15 minutes break a couple...

    Getting into straight Virginias

I've been getting into straight lighter Va recently and liking it, but it seems to me that I can smoke a blend like 2-3 times and have great experience and smoke another bowl after and it sucks and taste like ash. I really like HU sunset and Brigham Klondike gold so I bought a couple of tins...

    Canadian Whiskey Recommendations

Pike creek is the best I've tried yet. Lot40 is also really good if you like it with a lot of rye.
