The Good Ole Days, When Tobacco Wasn't Evil

Shoot,.....it wasn't that long ago you could smoke in your hospital room...right along with your visitors and the doctor! The nurses would empty and clean your ashtray!

    Prince Albert

I agree with most of you while at the same time disagreeing. Prince Albert is not an aromatic,....agreed. :D Prince Albert has a nice room note,.......sorry. :( Smells like a Union Hall chocked full of old decrepid yellow-fingered "roll-your-own" domino playin' carpenters.

    What Did You do Today?

Thanks Hobie,....we don't use the water out of the well till all the chlorine is pumped out. You add to your well and circulate it through your system till you smell it, then shut everything down and let it set for a few hours. Then turn everything back on and run the chlorinated water out of...

    What Did You do Today?

"B'dia b'dia b'dia.....b'dat's all folks!" I'm really suprised Daffy's still on and some liberal group hasn't had him banished on account of his thpeach impediment. What am I doing? Chlorinating my well after having a new thirteen hundred dollar pump installed this morning. "Thuffr'n thuccotash!"

    Sound advice?

I've heated several over the stove burner, (ever so slightly) and mashed them against the countertop. But you've got to be smarter than the material your working with,....don't heat any longer or push any harder than you absolutely need to. :D

    What Did You do Today?

Staying out of the heat, I cooked and watched television. And to cap off a great day I just watched my Cubs beat the danged cardinals!

    Meet My Gal

How does one develop ones pallet for tasting different tabacos?

Wow! Great thread. My tastes have changed over the years, a few tobaccos I turned my nose up to have become regulars in my rotation. I guess it's kinda like whiskey and vodka....first time I tasted them I wondered what the hell grownups were thinking! Beer was a different story, I liked it...

    Lighting my couch on fire

Well guys,....the truth be known...I've had to smash out a few embers on my shirt on more than one occasion!! (Never cough with a lit pipe in your mouth. )

    Lighting my couch on fire

    Lighting my couch on fire

Fire-fighter for twenty-five years here,......yes it is a fire hazard and no you are not being paranoid. It's been my experience those poor souls who burn down their homes via smoking materials die of smoke inhalation in the wee wee hours of the morning. The fire smolders for hours after the...

Great to see you back and posting! :D

    Small crack in the stem

It almost looks like it was drilled off-center, causing the tenon to be too thin on the side that cracked. That being the case, without drilling it out any more, I'd try to find a piece of aluminum tube that would fit snug enough to epoxy inside the stem before I sent it off to be retrofitted...

    Pipe Accident !

Fullbent, that photo's like a train wreck. You can't help but slow down for a look, all the while knowing what your about to see isn't going to be pretty. I bet I've looked at it six times!

    Pipe Accident !

Do you guys not have cars with ashtrays? Sorry,.....with twenty-five years as a fire-fighter, I've seen more brush fires and grass fires, (which usually include houses, out-buildings and barns), started by discarded smoking materials along the hi-way than I can count. You guys are the coolest...
