    Virginia Flake

I got some of this the other day and it was actually a bit unpleasantly "tangy." I was surprised because most reviews I've read say it's sweet. Is there something that causes tangy-ness, or is it probably just my particular taste buds disagreeing with the baccy? I smoked it in a newer briar...

    B&M over Internet

The B&M in my town is similar to others mentioned already, in that they have a great cigar selection, but the staff is largely unhelpful when it comes to pipe stuff. They are near my home, and actually have a decent selection of pipes and tobacco, but I wonder if anyone there smokes them...

    Gouge in briar bowl-fixable?

'To the OP: this "gouge" isn't the start of a burn out is it?' No, I don't believe it's a burnout, just some overzealous digging in or something. Wouldn't a burnout have a charred appearance? This is like raw wood that I'm seeing.

    Stem bleach treatment question

    Alright. Thank you, gentlemen!

    Stem bleach treatment question

I am bleaching a stem, fully submerged in a bowl. How long should I bleach it? I am trying to both de-oxidize as well as sanitize it. Do I just wait until it's black again? If so, about how long should that take if it wasn't super oxidized to begin with? Thank you!

    Gouge in briar bowl-fixable?

Ok...I'm a newbie. What exactly is pipe mud and where do I acquire it?

    Gouge in briar bowl-fixable?

Pipe mud, huh? I'll check it out. Yeah, pretty sure it is in the wood itself. There's some minor wood pulp evidence in the hole. Thanks for a quick response!

    Gouge in briar bowl-fixable?

I just got an estate pipe off of ebay and it is in good shape, except for a decent sized gouge/pitted area in the bottom of the inside of the bowl. :crying: Looks like someone got too aggressive when cleaning it out at one point or something. Just wondering if there are any techniques/tricks...

    First English experience

I am a new smoker and just had my first English. It was Frog Morton on the Town. I agree. It's smooth if you slow down and enjoy it. Too often, I overdo it to keep it lit and end up with a hot hand and bitten tongue. I would like to try the other FM ones out there.

Moulin Rouge London(?) and Kaywoodie Estates

Well, I hope the pics come out. A couple of estates I picked up this week. I haven't found out too much about the London pipe, but it is sure purdy. I'll probably smoke some Frog Morton in it tomorrow. Thanks for all the tips and advice you guys. -Matt

    King Erik Pipe?

Thanks, auspipe. That was the high end of my price range, so good to know I am probably not that far off.

    King Erik Pipe?

Yeah, the thin walls popped out at me as well. I just was wondering if anyone knew of this brand. Thanks for the response!

Does anyone know what this is? Is it worth bidding a bunch on? Thank you! http://www.ebay.com/itm/KING-ERIK-CUSTOM-2-TONE-BILLIARD-BRIAR-SMOKING-TOBACCO-PIPE-DENMARK-ESTATE-LOT-/190747260467?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c696c3633

    Chacom billiard pipe?

Just got my pipe in the mail today. Super nice! Now to do some minor cleaning and let it dry a bit. Probably smoke it tomorrow for my birthday.

    Chacom billiard pipe?

I am a very new pipe smoker. My wife got me a nice little basket pipe labeled "Czech" for my birthday and I won a Goeddewaagen on Ebay pretty cheaply recently. I won a Chacom billiard pipe the other day as well. It was about $39 total with shipping. Just wondering if that's a good pipe/deal...
