@ teamkazam: I think that is a brilliant idea. Never thought to rub a whole tin out and let it age like that. I can't speak for the Solani Aged Burley, but I don't doubt that even one month old fully rubbed FVF is drastically different from it's original tinned state. I have to try this with...- ohin3

What To Smoke When? How Do You Decide?
So many variables...no rhyme or reason to my smoking habits...depends on time of day, mood, weather, time of year...etc...I can start the day with an English then switch to an aromatic for noon and then to more English or a straight Va in the evening...all depends on what strikes me. My Small Pipes
The pipes pictured are the size of most of my pipes. I'm not a fan of big pipes because I am a clencher. Plus I find my mouth gets rather fatigued by 3/4 of the way through a large bowled pipe. I do still want a large pipe or 2 for latakia blends as I find they open up rather well in a large... -

Escudo Is Spanish For Incredible
I just finished my stash of 9 year old Escudo and have a dire need to restock my Escudo reserves. Escudo is another one of those tobaccos that performs completely different in all different situations but it is always so so good. Fell in love since my very first tin some many years ago.- ohin3

Preparing Tinned Tobacco?
Anything from folded and stuffed to fully rubbed out and all points in between will give you varying results. You will like some more than others so just experiment and learn what suits you best. I will say though that if you fold and stuff, cube cut, or just barely rub the flake out so that...- ohin3

I live alone with no kids and I still adopt this smoking style as often as possible. I'm not in love with nicotine or clouds of smoke. Pipe smoking for me is about flavour. The best flavour comes from the slowest possible smoking one can manage. I can make a bowl last for an hour and a half...- ohin3

Trouble Drying Captain Black
Just toast it in the oven. put the oven on to 200F. Once 200F is reached turned the oven off. Let the oven sit for 10 min or so. Spread your Captain Black on some tin foil and place it in the oven. wait about 2 to 5 min tops and take it out. It will be perfect for smoking.- ohin3

Not a Huge VaPer Fan, But...
I can tell you that that tin of Commonwealth is certainly not going to keep things from getting further out of control. That is some fine English! Do yourself a favour with the Escudo though as it is one of the most misunderstood yet phenomenal tobaccos out there. Take your time with 'er...- ohin3
