Do You Have A Preferred Shape?

I was looking at some Rattray pipes the other day and came across a Bare Knuckle model that i Really like. It reminds me more of a Sav 320 author but oddly it’s listed as a bent apple. https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/Rattrays/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=608981

Do You Have A Preferred Shape?

I'm still new to the pipe game and my measly collection only consists of a couple of cobs and a couple of briars which are both apple shapes. I have a straight Savinelli 207 apple and a bent Savinelli 626 apple. whenever I'm wasting time on pipe websites I'm always drawn to the apple shape...

Man, I love Burley. What's Your Favorite?

Thanks for the recommendations. I really like Pegasus but I don't have the same love for Haunted. the Original Old Joe is great too. I have an open tin of the '22 Eight state the I'm currently enjoying and I have two tins of the '24 eight state that I have yet to open.

Peretti has come up a bit. I've been interested in trying them out, not just for their burleys but for the english styles as well. I live 45min south of boston (depending on traffic) so I've been thinking of driving in some weekend to check them out in person.

    DIY Aromatic Flavoring Experiments?

I accidentally dropped a wad of Eight State Burley into a glass of Wild Turkey 101. I let it dry out and stuck it in a small mason jar. I'll probably give it a try sometime soon.

This is the same journey that I’m on right now. Haunted and Old Joe are delicious too

***What Are You Smoking, July 2024?***

Tonight I’m enjoying a bowl of Sutliff Holiday Mixture. This is the stuff that my grandfather smoked. I started in my cob, but apparently there’s a crack in the shank and it’s not drawing good, so pack another bowl in the savinelli

***What Are You Smoking, July 2024?***

My current favorite, Pegasus, in my Savinelli 207 Venere rusticated with a side of my last glass of home brewed NEIPA. A kicked keg is a terrible thing to behold.

Preferred Bowl Size For Burley Blends

I too am on a burley kick. I have two pipes that I've been using for burley, a MM Charles Towne Landing cob that I recently acquired that so far I've only smoked burley out of and will probably keep it that way and a Savinelli 207 that I smoke Virginia and burley blends out of. I'll second...
