    Storing Tobacco In Zip Locks

Does it work to cellar bulk pipe tobacco in mason jars? How long will it keep? Another question is on tinned tobacco? Will that essentially keep for years? My tobacco buys are usually bulk and I’ve not really started storing any for long term in preparation in the event of shortages or whatever.

    Pipe Shape Preferences Over Time

Slightly bent bulldogs and rhodesians. Rustic or sandblasted. My favorite styles. Bigger the bowl circumference the better. It’s what suits my style of smoking best. Being a pipe holder in my left hand as I sit and ponder life’s mysteries. And relaxing in my lawn chair while watching the wife...

General Help With a Specific Pipe

This is very similar to what I experienced just a couple month ago when I began pipe smoking. I bought a lot of different tobacco 1oz samples to try out and I’m kinda embarrassed to say that I now have about 15 pipes. I started with a non filtered pipe and smoking different blends, trying to go...

    New to Pipes

Hello from Nebraska! I’m pretty new here myself. Lots of great information to be found in the forums.

    Filter or Non-filter Pipes? Confused.

Thanks guys for clearing that up for me. I’ll have to try a filter and see how it compares to one without the filter.

    Filter or Non-filter Pipes? Confused.

So why do some listings then list the pipe (even not filater) as either a 6 or 9mm. Just so you know the size of the hole? I get that’ll affect the draw. And then it’s safe to assume if the pipe listing doesn’t mention it’s filtered, it won’t be then.

    Filter or Non-filter Pipes? Confused.

Ok - really dumb question, but I’m new at this. Can any pipe use a filter, or is there a difference in the build? I see pipes are 6mm, some 9mm, and I’m assuming that’s the size of the draw tube? Or is that wrong? I ordered a Rattray pipe a few minutes ago, and the description says it is a 9mm...

    New Guy in Nebraska

This is something I’ve been curious about looking at the price range of pipes. Seems like the spread can go from $25 to $2500, and everywhere in between. Haven’t found what a guy can reasonably spend for a pipe to be considered “ok” or pretty good. I recall my father smoked the Dr. Grabow...

    New Guy in Nebraska

Hi! Just joined the forums today. Beginner pipe smoker. Have thought on and off for quite awhile about perhaps getting a pipe to enjoy when I’m sitting in the backyard during the evenings. My father, and father-in-law, were both pipe smokers. But just the cheaper pipes and tobacco you could get...
