Bought my first "real" tobacco today
Opened the tin and was surprised by the smell. Very strong. Which part of the blend gives off that spicy odour? Latkia? Great smoke though. Very smooth compared to the smell from the tin. Lasted long and was great with a glass of whiskey on the swing. Is university flake similar?- ulsterpaddy

Smoking correctly?
i get that feeling on the back of my throat on my "false light" and im pretty sure its because i forget to blow out right away. by the time im on my second light im in full thick puff non inhaling beauty and haven't got any bite yet. im new to it as well.- ulsterpaddy

lol i was standing out in the street smoking my pipe outside work the other day and i got the funniest looks from people walking by. but everyone here in vancouver is a health nut. however, last little christmas party i was at, after too many vodka martinis, i was outside with all the smokers...- ulsterpaddy

Thanks, I looked at one of the better cigar stores here in Vancouver and they seem to be saying on their website that they have Royal Yacht Mixture by Dunhill. They have a little blurb on Dunhill and say that their pipe tobacco production has ceased. Are we all being misinformed here? heres the...- ulsterpaddy

I agree. They were interesting for me before the first couple weeks before I started. They are long winded and mellow. But seriously check out the pipephreaks. The father has a great personality and has some very interesting perspective and a funny outspoken lively way of delivering it.- ulsterpaddy
