I've also read quite a few good reviews about the Frog Morton series, which they also have sampler packs of (http://pipesandcigars.com/frwecosa.html#.UL-xLIPBFic). Would any of you recommend this type for beginners?

Hello again everyone! As you all may know, I'm still new to pipe smoking. Just ordered my first pipe a couple of days ago, and I'm already looking at others. Anyways, per the advice of some other posters, I have been doing a little bit of research on tobaccos. Now, I'm a bit torn because...

    Ebay Pipes

are any of you familiar with Del Nobile Medico Pipes? Found one on ebay unsmoked and didn't know if it was worth a bid..

    Ebay Pipes

haha, appreciate the support you all provided over the last couple of days. I can feel myself getting sucked in already, as I just put in another bid on a Peterson Estate pipe as well (only $12, I won't allow myself to get too carried away at first). Only time will tell how things turn out, lol

I think I'll be throwing in a bid here pretty soon - I just wanted to see what the rest of you thought...and maybe see if any of you would be able to identify or recognize the pictures of it I tried to link

    Ebay Pipes

Yea I'm not sure why it didn't allow me to link it correctly - if you right click on the little picture thing, you might be able to open it up in another tab. The only reason i created a separate thread for it was because the bidding ends within the next half hour, lol.

    Ebay Pipes

I had posted a thread a couple of days ago in regards to what type of pipes I should be looking into as a noob pipe smoker. A few members responded by saying that I should try to do a bit of research and perhaps look into Ebay for a pipe at lower prices. With that being said, I have indeed...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

Yea, I just feel like I don't really know enough about the hobby yet to be able to purchase an estate pipe. Eventually I'll look into estate pipes more, but to begin with I think I'd just be a bit more comfortable with purchasing either a beginner/gift set pack or a new pipe with some sampler...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

hah, there's so much variety in the responses being provided! Some recommend estate pipes, others recommend brand new pipes, and others seem to lean towards gift packs, lol. I am a bit hesitant in regards to purchasing an estate pipe at this point simply because I'm not really that familiar...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

Hmmm, haven't actually heard much about Wellington pipes, will have to do a bit more research on them. So you're suggesting going for a Wellington over a Dr Grabow? I had my eye on the DG Freehand or Omega...but I like the looks of the Wellington Medium Smooth Billiard as well...any other...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

I love the amount of feedback being provided! Very excellent. Maybe a better way of putting it is to ask you all what you would do if you were in my position? Should yield some interesting answers :)

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

Awesome! Yea Missouri Meerschaum is where I'll get the cc pipe from, and I appreciate the advice regarding the bundle of ugly pipes, lol. Are starter kits worth looking into, or should I just purchase the pipe and everything else separately? As an example, I'll link one listed on 4noggins...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

Awesome! Appreciate the feedback..and yea, I'll end up getting a corn cob pipe of some sort regardless of whether or not I get a Dr Grabow (or Mr Brog) pipe. Everything I've read online said that they are the best for testing out/getting a feel for tobacco flavors/types. But I figured I might...

    Tips for purchasing first pipe?

Hello everyone, I have been doing some basic research about pipe smoking over the last week or so, and I've inevitably reached the conclusion that I'd like to give it a try! I don't smoke cigarettes; I occasionally smoke cigars. I have family and friends who smoke cigs and cigars, but I...
