Among many great companies and products you will find from many helpful people here, I would personally recommend checking out Cornell and Diehl's English blends. $400 to Spend on a Pipe
If I had to spend it just on pipes I would have a hard time not buying a couple of Boswells, or a Baronet Bruyere in every shape. But my fiance would know about the $400 and because she's awesome would let me spend probably $50 of it and then the rest towards some financial goals of ours.- austinxpipe

Why is it so Hard to Find a Sub $100 Pipe That is Drilled Correctly?

Help Me by Explaining Why Smoking Slower Smokes Cooler
Something something Newton's law of cooling something something physics... I think it's simply because when you smoke slow the smoke has time to cool on its way to your mouth, allowing the temp to change. Also, because you're smoking slower, you tend not to draw so hard, keeping the coal smaller...- austinxpipe

The One That Got Away...
I know that feel, bro. I had my eyes on a Sav Capri Root Briar, I think it was a 121EX shape. It was gorgeous. Nearly unsmoked and in amazing condition.
