I'm not sure what it is, either. It's sweet, that much is for certain. The room note is, too. It's a real wife-pleaser. She walked into the garage during my last bowl and she just said "mmm". I asked her later about it, and she just said it was like walking into a sweet cloud.

There's a good video review of it here:

I find it lightly aromatic. It's got a fantastic tin note, and my wife likes the room note.

1-Q in my 4-pin Brigham volcano. Man, this stuff is easy smokin'. Got Towers of Midnight on my lap. I've been putting off reading it because I was writing all month.

I remember when Rich first got started. Got a few emails from him, because I'd been taking part over at pipes.org. Since he stressed international shipping, I always kept him in mind. Great that he's doing well and sounds like he's having fun, too.
Must... resist... going to... his site...
My novel is science fiction, with a female main character who was dying. Her husband arranges for an experimental recording of her brain. She then wakes up far, far away in the distant future, where her genome and brain pattern have be reconstituted into a force-grown body. Lots of stuff...
Congrats, reddazes! I, too, crossed the 50k mark: 55464 words. My novel isn't complete, though. I bit off a larger story this year. December to finish it, and I'm going to spend time in 2011 editing.

Please do! There are two on your list there that I want to try sometime: the Mac Baren Honey and Chocolate (can't seem to find that around here) and the 221B Honeydew.

I'll extend a Canadian welcome to Clay (ulsterpaddy), as I live just across a body of water from him in Victoria. And tonight I am in fact in Vancouver on business. No time for pipes tonight, though. Any recommendations on Vancouver tobacconists, Clay?

I've got "The Towers of Midnight" by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson sitting on the shelf behind me, begging to be read. But I'm not reading it until NaNoWriMo is over. It's killing me!

Not a iPhone, but an iPod Touch. I don't have a computer on the back porch or in the garage, so if I'm surfing to PM.com while I'm smoking a pipe, it's on the Touch.
If it's when I should be working, it's on... oops, gotta go.

That's pretty interesting information, gunner! Thanks for posting it. I picked up a Vauen 3108 this past summer. Didn't know anything about the manufacturer, but I loved the look and it felt great in the hand. It's turned out to be my favorite pipe.
