STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

all things pass. Sometimes we should be happy we had the good times at all. And hey there is always the future and while it's got no promises it always has potential. Not that it doesn't sting but there are lots of things I wish I could have appreciated more for what they were at the time. Like...

STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

especially if the new owner doesn't care about the product in the same way. The best case for consolidation is when they let the key people stay as equally involved in the process as they were before the purchase.

Coloring Progress Over Time/No of Bowls in one Meerschaum Pipe

I've noticed that the shade of the coloration does change with tobacco types.

I keep saying it's the market that's what we have to worry about.

    Tea and a Pipe

Funny how the details make a difference. One thing that comes up constantly in pathology especially oncology is the word irritation. Basically if it hurts there is damage. If there is enough damage over enough time in the right place.... Issues arise. Oh and tea and coffee can lead to...

    Lost Package?

though in all fairness that does look a bit like the kind of house that has a few bodies in the basement some still semi alive. I don't really mean that. I loved how at my last place I had the same issue with ups sometimes. Some of the guys would not only make sure it was on the porch but...

    Trying Out an English Blend.

Yes and a lot of people seem to be afraid they're doing it wrong. Like the person that apologizes for still enjoying the wines from my local region which are simply just not complex compared to other varietals. Like hey they're simple but good nothing wrong with that. And all these learning...

Good Way to Prepare GH flakes?

I've only tried Ennerdale Flake but I was pretty upset that I didn't try cube cutting it until the last two flakes. Basically got about the same number of relights I'd expect from a dry ribbon cut. And zero loss of flavor. If I rubbed it out and let it dry it smoke fine too but the scent and...

    Are Windcaps Over?

And yet the human element still makes the difference. Or at least that's my opinion and observation. I remember in the 2000s there was this trend for non artists to make collages and play artist. After dismissing that form I'd run into people that couldn't draw but actually made things that...

Good Way to Prepare GH flakes?

I don't know if I said it but cube cut seems to work the easiest and most flavorful with the GH flakes. Right out of the package too. I would have incorrectly thought rubbing it out finer would work better.

    A Thought On Jazz.

jazz is amazing. Though it can take the right thing to see it. That right song or album to cut through and make a person just stop and really listen and feel. So much of the time people will say they don't have the technical know how to really listen to Jazz. Which is like you don't need that...

    Quincy Jones Dies Aged 91

one of those people that has influenced you even if you have no clue that he did. What a prolific producer and song writer. Even the songs he only produced had his finger prints all over them in a really spectacular and great way. That man made pop that gets respect from so many musicians. A...
