This song brings back a lot of good memories.........
Back in late summer of 1990 I attended a bluegrass festival at Frontier Ranch, in Kirkersville, Ohio.
Late in the evening (right around midnite) Peter & Sammy played this song, in a somewhat "extended version".......... I swear it went for...
What A BEAUTY!! I can only imagine what a B*#CH it is to make such a small stem. Great work as always!
I have a 1967 EC as well but the blast is mediocre...................
Methinks yours is a 1957.........you know, my OCD and all............ 🤓
A Christmas eve favorite for me............
My Grandmother was from Bungay, England, and her son, one of my favorite uncles had the same gap in his front teeth that Ray Davies has............ my uncle alway said it was useful for "Straining his milk"............. :ROFLMAO:
Merry Christmas...
Lookin' Good! Here in Ohio it's 50 degrees, last year it was sub zero wind chills............
That's a really cool Kaywoodie! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
It's pricy, but DAMN GOOD! I think they run sales on it a few times a year, that's the time to strike, and load up a bit........... I don't smoke a lot of VA flakes, but IMHO Capstan Blue is a winner, worthy of the cellar........
Probably a bit Cliche', but I really don't care. Just lost my last uncle.............that alone makes me feel old, but we were quite close. 83 years old, and a life well lived.
But the song I've had on repeat of late is George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass"............ Methinks it has...
I smoked the 'Reds back in the 80's-early 90's............... now I drink a cocktail that I make at home, called the Cowboy Killer............. It's DAMN GOOD! and yes, it reminds me of the good old Marlboro Reds............

It's a Charatan's Make...........
When Dunhill bought the brand they XXXXX'd out the name and sold them for what they could. It's still a quality Charatan though........

Fantatic pipe George! .......... I think the modifications will make it even more Fantastical...........
Get that pipe out of Italy and more into Old Blighty!
Seriously tho............... that's a work of art!
Little piece of history here............ I like Roger McGwinn, and I Love the Byrds..........
To me the Gene Clark era was the top, but this ain't too bad.............
Earl and Randy really pul it all together, I guess I was only 2 years old when this was filmed.......... DAMN!........
Gillian Welch........... April the 14th (part 1).................
I like this song.......... quite a bit.
"Ruination day
And the sky was red
I went back to work
And back to bed
And the iceberg broke
And the Okies fled
And the Great Emancipator Took a bullet in the back of the head..."
I hear you man!............... I love that tune, but still "Blue Grass" from Berto Pisano still wins my heart........... the one that started it all!........
I need to get back to this genre soon........ I just became a Grampa, from my 1st daughter, My second daughter is getting married 4/22...
