The bridge supports were designed to do just that- support the bridge. They weren't necessarily designed for lateral loads, but more for downward pressure loads. Comoy’s Three Part C Sanding
I've sanded those 3-part C's before with no problems. I think the inlays are fairly deep. What you'll have to be careful about is rounding off the sharp edges on the stem............ that's the hard (and critical) part. Go slow.- beefeater33
