    C.S. Lewis & His Pipes.

I’m a big Lewis and Tolkien fan with pictures of them drawn smoking a pipe. Was curious if anyone here knows of modern fantasy authors that are avid pipe smokers. Seems like we turn to the classics to find ones versus today.

    No more UNO!!!!

Bought zip. Jim’s reviews are my go to but so many tobaccos are getting 4 stars I selfishly wished there was a 5 star tier just to separate the good from the incredible

    Rattray’s Hall O Wynd Aging

Got it recently a 2018 version and upon opening it I found it smelled like red apples and sweet Virginia leaf. The scent was unique to any other Virginias I've had. It was great. Going to smoke through one and save the the other for another 5-10 years. Cheers! Thanks for all your input.

    Rattray’s Hall O Wynd Aging

I realize this is subjective but to those who smoke this blend regularly. Any opinions as to how long to cellar till the profile becomes even better. Thanks!

    Ken Byron Blends Great Virginias

I've been enjoying most of Ken's Virginia blends. Mostly enjoying his recent Santa Overdrive but all the other Virginia blends have been great. I didn't care for his Byronic Hiro at first. Mostly because of the format, it was cumbersome to cut, rub out and smoke. But the other day I had a...

    WCC Rouxgaroux

I got it upon winning the Country Squire Radio blend of the year last year. I found it okay. Had a couple of bowls now and find it okay but not something that is special along with so many other great blends.

Looking Forward to the Next Chicago Pipe Show!

I've never been to a pipe show but am curious what the culture and experience is like. Along with the new and up coming pipe makers are there a decent amount of estate and older tobacco that is being sold in the spirit of discovery and not in the buyer needing to do estate planning to afford...

Am I Doing the Math Right?!

I only reflected on this when a recent release of "Your Welcome" he posted only having 120 bags (2oz). I may be reading what he meant wrong, hearing other people's insight through is enlightening. Been to distilleries and breweries but yet to a tobacco mixing plant. Would be an awesome tour...

Am I Doing the Math Right?!

Yeah I am not equating scarcity as quality but just amazed at how much tobacco we are talking about and how much a company like C&D would have on hand to make all their blends. Kinda blows my imagination.

Am I Doing the Math Right?!

Title edited for caps. Please read Rule 9! -jpm Got to thinking the about all of these limited releases of tobacco. I usually track with Ken Byron Ventures limited stuff of which seem to be in batches of 4-10 pounds. I got to thinking about C&D’s limited releases and them stamping it X/5000 so...

wow thanks for pointing me in the direction of the website. A little prehistoric but a helpful tool to catalog for sure.

    Your Cellar Size

I just got my first plug the other day and I honestly must be doing it wrong because it seems like a couple extra steps that seem unnecessary when shag exists out there. Maybe I'm just lazy. lol

    Your Cellar Size

While we are at it. Any one use a helpful format or program to catalog your cellar. I'm starting a doc with google sheets but was thinking into helpful columns and organization

    Your Cellar Size

I wonder if many of the tobaccos you think you will love forever you eventually change and sell later. Or yeah you realize you won’t ever get around to smoking it. Plus I just like buying new things so I can’t imagine being “done” shopping for 15 years because new great things are coming down...
