I wonder what the story on Peterson/Dunhill blends is? Laudisi/C&D owns Peterson, so why aren't they blending this in house? I would have to imagine they will start, unless there is some kind of legal right to the blends that STG now owns.- BriarBrook

Favorite Cigarillos?
Ashton Connecticuts are top of the heap for me... I do like the undercrown cigarillos, but you have to snip the ends. that's kind of a no-no for me and cigarillos. if i'm already being lazy enough to do a cigarillo, i don't want to be bothered with cutting. :)- BriarBrook

Turkish Latakia v. Cyprian Latakia
Could just be me, but I prefer Turkish over Cyprian. Cyprian always hits me as too fragrant or that it has a perfume aftertaste in some blends that use it. Turkish, however, seems to be more savory/bbq, which is exactly what I'm looking for.- BriarBrook

Smoking a Pipe with GERD/Reflux
Smoking is one of those things that supposedly makes GERD/Acid reflux worse... so why does it make mine feel better? Multiple times per day, I have acid creep up in my throat, causing a burning sensation. But as soon as I start puffing, it almost immediately alleviates it. Long term it's bad...- BriarBrook

I get what you're saying, but that's a very modern mentality. Should you do your best to protect the elderly and infirmed? Sure. My experience is it needs a while to dry out. I let it dry for a half hour and that wasn't even close to enough time. Very difficult to keep lit.
