Help Me Choose My Next Meers

Top SRV. I like the shaping more. Middle Altinay. I like the carving best. You have great taste in pipes, though, so I'm sure you will choose the right ones for you.

I'll be 52 in March. How long? Which time? I first picked up the pipe 31 years ago. Took a hiatus or two along the way. Been steady for the past 7 or 8 years, I guess. Don't remember what I smoked 31 years ago, but GLP Gas Light became a favorite this go round. Hate Latakia now, though. I have...

What's Your Oldest Pipe That You Bought New?

This one hurts! I had an unsmoked Sasieni One Dot Specially Selected pipe circa 1919 - 1924 that I very foolishly sold. I would trade half my pipes to have that one back!

    673 vs 80s Pete

I think Stanwell makes a much better pipe, consistently, that Savinelli or Peterson, and I've had several of all three. Stanwell for my money. I'll never own another Peterson and O hate the balsa filter in the Savinellis, and I don't like their adapter either.

At the risk of swelling the head of one of our lauded forum members, whatcould possibly be a better name for a smoke shop than Chasing Embers?

Familiarty Breeds Contemp vs Variety is the Spice

I find that most of is fall into one of 3 categories, with exceptions, of course. The first group I call Adventure Seekers. These are the folks that have many pipes, sometimes in the hundreds, by many makers in 50 different shapes, finishes, etc. In regards to tobacco, they are more likely to...

Type Of Pipe Paired With Tobaccos

I'd love to see it! I'm not looking to diversify, myself. I have VERY narrow parameters regarding pipes. Mine truly are boring to most.

Fast Five. Who Wants To Play?

Okay, we all know this one. I don't know if this has been done here before (I assume it has), but to take a page out of Brian Levine's book, no right answer, no wrong answer, just the first thing that comes to your mind. With all the new members, I thought this would be fun. I'll go first...
