    O.T.C. or Codger Blends.

I was feeling a little philosophical today and wanted a little discussion about an interesting subject.

    O.T.C. or Codger Blends.

I do not believe anything that I hear. I have to experience it for myself. The flash burn sounds like either it was too dry or smoked too fast. I keep hearing that aged aromatic blends are horrible. You start with inferior leaf than aging it will not help. I have a large tin of old BorKum...

    O.T.C. or Codger Blends.

I have a small tin of Scandinavik and it is very interesting. Jarred and rehydrated. Velvet is very interesting also. Rehydrating it with a non-peaty single malt scotch. Trying to rehydrate a big tin of Union Leader with a honey whiskey. Taking forever. I rehydrate with drinking alcohol...

    O.T.C. or Codger Blends.

I have been hearing for several years about Over The Counter and Codger blends. Hell I have several in my cellar. What is the criteria and the cut-offs. Does it have to be something that your dad or grandpa could have smoked? What about the foreign countries? That can go both ways. Is it a...

    Shapes?

Crap! I own a lumberman! Who knew that Savenelli made a Lumberman.

    Shapes?

I have found major sites mis-identifying Rhodesian and Bulldogs all the time. Round shank Rhodesian. Diamond shank Bulldog. Bent, straight , curly like a pigs tail that does not change. Is a shape more premium by the name? I am not a shape snob but why mis-name a pipe?

    Shapes?

I have a Savenelli that has an oval shank and a long stem. Is it a Canadian or Lovat? Not one of my favorites, got it as a part of an Estate lot from the EBay.

    Shapes?

My esteamed fellow pipe smokers. What is an Army mount? What is the difference between a lovate and a Canadian? Is there a video of the shapes of pipe?

Another Generous Gift: A Color Duke at Long Last

I think that Mikes are from late sixties to the seventies.

    False Hope!

I have an over abundance of head shops in my town. It is a college town. If I smoked Ganga I would be set for life. If I did find a club it would just to socialize and with this mess it will have to wait. I do not like to leave the house to go food shopping.

    False Hope!

On Saturday I asked a question about Velvet pouches and it got twisted into a post about sex toys. I laughed so hard I was crying. I love ? this past time and all the wacky people that make it up.

    False Hope!

I smoke almost everything. Stay away from goopy messed up blends. Can not stand several days of drying time. The dryer sheet smells are from what I think are “Lakeland” brand tobaccos. I do not like those blends but it is a large hobby. Maybe I can get rid of that tin of Moon trance that I...

    False Hope!

I may be a little crazy but I may need to find a pipe smoking club. A little history. I walk my dogs several times a day like a good person. While being dragged down the road by my hound dog. I keep smelling great pipe tobacco being smoked but it is just someone doing their laundry. I am...

    Tell Me About Velvet

Just bought a pouch from a flea market for cheap. Made by Pinkerton Tobacco Company. Rehydrating with a favorite whiskey. I lost an old tin of Prince Albert from the early Sixties. Mold city. Yes from 62 to 65. Learned my lesson. Waiting about a month to try my Velvet. Wish me a lot of luck.

    Small Sample Company?

I have an English that I enjoy. Looking for for the other blends. Not heavy on the burley.

    Small Sample Company?

My tastes have not changed in 4 years. My ability to verbalize what I am liking about each blend is severely lacking. I like cooking spices and flavors. Subtle blends but no goopy messes.

    Small Sample Company?

That may work for me. Anybody interested?

    Small Sample Company?

That place! I have been trolling that place and pipe smoking drooling over half the blends. Middle earth blends, the holiday blends and the other aromatics are damn here killing me with lust. I have drank all the kool-aid from John David.

    Small Sample Company?

My go to cigar was a vanilla flavored and I would buy them by the box. My pipe blends are all over the place. I have a large jar of a good English so I am set there. I like the dreaded Aromatics but only the European blends It would seem. Big wet goopy takes too long to dry out. I can not...
