    My Mixture 965- a Review

One of my favorite English blends. I have a lot of aged 965 so I haven’t smoked any of the recent production but I’ve heard it’s been pretty consistent.

COVID and Lack of Tobacco Taste

I think you all are right that it is the subtle smells that are missing. I would not have thought that tobacco smoking smells were subtle, but probably just my ignorance.

COVID and Lack of Tobacco Taste

You'd think I'd lose some weight, but no, I'm actually gaining weight! Probably from not getting exercise. And maybe drinking Bourbon that I can taste.

COVID and Lack of Tobacco Taste

I had COVID a month ago along with most of my family (probably the new variant), and I lost much of my taste of smell. My taste has recovered to a large extent although the taste of wine and tobacco seem to be most affected. I can still taste Bourbon and Scotch pretty well, haha. The tobacco...

Your Best Pipes Under $100 You Smoke

Wow $2! I bought an estate Brebbia on Ebay and it is a great smoker. I can't remember what I paid for it. Maybe $30? I don't smoke it as often as I should. Oops, I just realized Estates were to be excluded. I don't think I have any that qualify once inflation is taken into account.

    Other Hobbies & Activities

We moved and downsized so we've been trying to unpack and organize all our stuff. We now realize we didn't get rid of enough. Then we both COVID along with our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. We're finally recovered (mostly). Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to my normal hobbies...

Happy Thanksgiving And Safe Travels To All!

Thanks for the reminder that most of us have a lot to be thankful for. My grandmother had a saying: “There’s only one thing better than having something good, and that’s knowing that you have it. “ My prayers for those who are experiencing hardships and illness.

What's your Go-to Process for Estate Pipes?

I also use alcohol even if said to be fully restored. I soak the stem in alcohol for a few hours.

What Time of Day do you Enjoy your Pipe the Most?

I need to try the mornings again with coffee as I remember them being enjoyable. However I try to limit my consumption to a max of one bowl a day so I always choose the evening because it’s most relaxing.

    DR. Question Do you Smoke?

I always so “No” to the question but admit to an occasional pipe of cigar. They always drop it at that point because they’re mostly concerned about cigarettes.

    Money--How Much?

I’m old fashioned I guess and like to carry some cash even though I use my credit cards for most purchases. I do get a fair amount of cash to pay my small contractor and handyman for work on my house which they prefer for obvious reasons.
