    Opinion on Peterson System Pipe

The system standard is definitely harder (acrylic) and awkward to clench as opposed to the spigot, there is sort of a sweet spot in my teeth when I clench that took me a little bit to discover but once I got it down clenching hasn't been an issue. The Sherlock Holmes Squire is by far a better...

How To Home Stove Tobacco - Informational Only

Well I tried my Sutliff Virginia slices today and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed, it's smooth out the rough edges and gave it a deeper flavor profile, if that makes sense! My palate is not developed enough to break down all the flavors, it's just definitely better than it was before...

The (Un)Official PipesMagazine Secret Santa Thread 2022!

Okay I have to interject here! Sweet potato casserole is not my cup of tea only because I'm not a big marshmallow fan, but you got to look at it like sweet potato pie it's taking a mildly sweet dish and turning it into a dessert type of dish. I grew up eating what my family called candied yams...

    Spark Plug... Plume?

I definitely do not have the years of experience that you do saddlebrush52! I was definitely concerned seeing as I've never experienced mold or Bloom yet, I really was hesitant to smoke this but also didn't want to waste the tobacco for no reason! So like I said earlier in the post I reached...

    Spark Plug... Plume?

No I don't believe it is mold! After looking through the loop and contacting smoking pipes and C&D which Jeremy Reeves did get back to me, I confirmed it was not mold and I smoked through it and it was delicious!

How To Home Stove Tobacco - Informational Only

Well couldn't help myself and had the stove some Sutliff Virginia slices that I picked up a few months ago that was just ho hum! The aluminum foil smells wonderful, but no real smell during the stoving process! Will report back in a couple weeks to see how it tasted! Will probably pick up some...

    Spark Plug... Plume?

Well after putting the tobacco under the jeweler's Loop I have determined that it's definitely not mold! I can't believe how beautiful the crystal's on the tobacco are under magnification! I'm really excited to try this tobacco! I'm currently smoking through a tin of Fusilier' Ration, and as...

    Pipe Tobacco Hall of Fame?

Tobaccoreviews.com has this in the description of my mixture 965: "Pipe Tobacco Hall of Fame Inductee". So so like the OP... I just assumed there was a pipe tobacco Hall of Fame! I guess not! LOL!

    Spark Plug... Plume?

I haven't heard back from C&D but smokingpipes.com responded with this. "In my experience this doesn't look like mold you would typically see on tobacco. Molded tobacco looks quite similar to moldy produce, with fuzzy, off white or greenish mold that spreads rapidly. The best course of action...

    Spark Plug... Plume?

I wasn't really worried till I posted the question on here! Lol! Now I'm a little freaked out!

    Spark Plug... Plume?

Sent an email to smokingpipes.com and C&D. We'll see what they say. Only been at this for about a year and just started building my celler, I've read other posts about mold problems in the past, and knew it was a possibility, just didn't really think I would run into it this soon in my journey...

    Spark Plug... Plume?

Just cracked open a tin of spark plug that has a Year's age on it and wasn't expecting to see any type of plume in that short of a Time! I have no experience with aged tobacco so I'm just assuming this is plume! It smells fantastic and looks sparkly, just need confirmation from you who are in...

    Elizabethan Moisture Question

I probably won't fret it! The tin airtight and it seems like Elizabethan comes on the dryer side!
