What Type Of Polishing/Buffing Wheels To Get?
I'm looking at a buffing wheel that can be chucked into a drill press for easier control of RPM. Peterson De Luxe 9S Joins the Clan
I loaded it up with Peterson's De Luxe Mixture today. Had a nice long smoke and it performed wonderfully. Thoroughly enjoyed the fondelicious 9S, they are beautiful pipes imo. Peterson De Luxe 9S Joins the Clan
R, Pretty standard alcohol "retort" but using vapor rather than boiling liquid. Slower but easier to moderate. I like the vented stopper in the bowl, keeps alcohol off the finish.- pipedreamin

I hadn't purchased a new briar pipe in 15+ years. In the last few weeks I've binged a bit. Here is the latest arrival, first undergoing the ritual purification via 200 proof dehydrated ethanol then sleeping it off in recovery. Quite a presence, really like the heft of this one.- pipedreamin

jpmcwjr, They are ~62 grams/2.19oz. 5.12"/5.5"(10). Bowl is slightly deeper but narrower than a Peterson De Luxe 9S, about the same volume in a pipe weighing 15 grams less and approximately 1.5" shorter.- pipedreamin

Yes, ericthered, The bottom of the bowl is thin around the hole, about a 1/16" Maybe the moisture collecting there will prevent burnout.
