    It Never Fails....

I ordered two 2 oz tins of Maltese Falcon some time back. Smoked one tin, stored the other for later. Liked it, so I ordered an 8 oz tin this time. Also ordered two 2 ozers of Westminster to see how I like that one. At same time I am going to try Presbyterian for the first time as well as EMP...

    Social or Anti-Social Pipe Smoker?

Cigar and pipe smoking is something I usually do on a Friday night or a Sunday afternoon. Typically it’s a backyard with a beverage ordeal, decompression relaxation, mental recharge. I love getting together with other smokers on ocassion, but it’s pretty much my “me” time.

    What Cigar are You Smoking?

Peterson’s Irish Flake in a MM cob, tobacco is courtesy of @condorlover1. I really, really like this tobacco considering I’m an English blend smoker. Damn you @condorlover1.....Happy St. Patrick’s all!

The Pipe Material You Smoke The Most

Cobs ever since I picked a few up, have three cobs and 5 briars. The briars collect dust at present

If You Had to Choose Only One Tobacco

I have not tried near as many as others. Right now, the one I find that is most balanced for me, and that I can smoke anytime, smoke bowl after bowl is PS Proper English. My tastes are still pretty simple I guess.

What is Your Favorite House Blend at a B&M?

Sir English from Edwards Pipe &Tobacco in Tampa. Just so happens I was able to pick up some when I met up with the guys. It’s the closest I’ve smoked to an English blend I got years back from Iwan Ries.

Central Florida Pipe Smokers Meeting - Saturday February 20, 2021 At Edwards Pipes & Tobacco

How many do we have? I will be there, since Im a newer pipe smoker I don't really have any old tobaccos to bring, so thinking Ill pick up a six or 12 pack of a nice beer.

    Almost There...

Welcome! Tampa area here. I would go with the recommendation of ordering a few 1 or 2 oz packages to try out and see what you like. I would further say, try tobaccos from different families in the pipe realm. There are a lot of "codger" and aromatic recommendations. I say go for it and then...

    Habano No?

I know the fake ones (and my family members have unwittingly purchased them for me twice). These are real, sealed package, with correct pressed into the box stamps and Cuban seal and barcode.

    Habano No?

Whenever we go to the Caribbean I come back with a box of Cuban cigars and honestly, the quality has declined greatly. At the same time, other regions are making killer cigars. IMHO, not many Habanos can stand up to the likes of a Padron 1926 with Maduro wrapper out of Nicaragua.

    Missouri Meerschaum Crack

Maybe its me but that side of the pipe, the wall looks pretty thin compared to rest of it. For being its second smoke, I would have done the same and sent a pic to them to see what they say as well.

What Can You Learn about Yourself by Looking at Your Own Pipe Collection?

I posted on another thread that I found out how much I prefer smoking cobs over briar, so I guess what mine says is that there is pleasure in simple, effective things and finding what you like. I have also gravitated to a few tobaccos and feel like they can keep me interested in smoking for a...

    Good Ol’ Cob

I have to say, having started with briars, and having 5 of them (well, 6 really, but still have not had the one with a broken tenon fixed) I figured I would get a couple cobs to try. Bought the MM 2 pack Country Gentlemen, one bent one straight back in July. Im completely ruined. I just don't...

What Are You Listening To? ~ February 2021

Brandy Clark (and Im not a country fan really, but we went to Nashville and saw her live at The Grand Ole Opry and were amazed):
