    I've left a couple of 100g tins of Golden Sliced on the oil bar heater for a few hours. When they cooled, I opened one, and...whoa...smelt unbelievable. So the smoking of the same will be interesting.

    Yep...that's where I'm coming from. Leaf won't burn evenly. Draw is difficult. I'm smoking an 'el cheapo' Chinese job ($7AUD), and it out-performs the MM items. Bad news as far as MM is concerned!

    30% dearer than most places, and twice the cost of shipping. i.e. $USD65 for postage: that's $95Oz money for two tins of blend. At 4noggins it would be $29. I don't mind paying the going rate, I'm not 'squeezing' for super cheap, just a reasonable deal.

    I checked that site out and their prices are eye-wateringly high compared to 4noggins, plus they wanted more for postage than what the order cost. I'll pass on price gouging.

    Well, I thought about the comment about the Brigham v Savinelli. Did some searching about the place and ended up getting a Savinelli Trevi Rusticated (606 KS). The rustication has been well done, and I like the larger bowl. It seems to present well. So time will tell what kind of performance...
