    Solitary or Social Smoker?

Both. I enjoy being alone most of the time. However, there are times when I enjoy a solid conversation.

    House, Outside Or Both?

It’s mixed for me. Never in the house. I’d be divorced if I ever did. I’ll smoke mostly on either my front porch or back patio normally. Now, I did build a small workshop adjacent to my house. So I have a place to smoke “indoors” when it’s colder outside during the winter months. Really, the...

Just wanted to share that we will have our monthly meeting at the Moore, OK Tobacco Exchange on August 14 at 6pm. If you’re in the greater OKC metro area, by all means you are welcome to stop on by.

    With Whom Would You Smoke?

One of my passions is photography and one of my favorite photographs is Ansel Adams. I’ve seen images of him smoking cigarettes so I’m not certain if he enjoyed a pipe. However, I’d thoroughly enjoy sitting down with him, either smoking a pipe or cigarette, just to glean information from him...

Welcome from Oklahoma! Used to go to college further north of you, closer to the Pottersville/Schroon Lake area. Miss Upstate NY dearly! It’s quite beautiful!

Very cool! Hope to be there this year! Just to make certain I am seeing this correctly; this is a venue change from the previous years correct?

    Your First Pipe

I got my first pipe when I was deployed to Kuwait in 2003. A friend purchased it for me for my birthday along with a pouch of Capt Black White. Sadly, I tossed that pipe. At the time I loved cigars and I didn’t know how to care for a pipe. It gurgled too much for me and wasn’t pleasant.

Something to discuss further at the next meet up. At the moment, I like that our meeting is informal.

No need to trade. I’ll give you a sample of flakes for you to try. Might even bring some other blend samples for you to try as well.

I’ll have a look again at the link. A couple Sundays from now, the UPCA have a Zoom meeting that I intend to join. I’ll get more info when I check in there.

    New Favorites for 2024?

Earlier this spring I opened a well aged tin of some HH Louisiana Red to share with some folks locally to me. I then opened a sample of some WCC Simply Orange a day or so later. Not wanting to have each in a separate jar, I combined them. I was greeted with one of the best smokes I’ve had for a...
