Frog Morton Series?
IMO, you can't go wrong with any of the Frog blends. Different folks will have personal preferences though. I've tried Frog Morton, Night on the Town, and Across the Pond. Based on that, I'd recommend reaching for Frog Morton. If you want a good intro blend into the series, go for Night on...- jaxz

Pipe ghosting, should i be too worried??
The beautiful thing about cobs is they don't ghost, or at least not very well. Smoke whatever you want in the cob, you'll be fine. When it comes to ghosting (briers) this is a personal preference if you ask me. I think with enough time you'll start detecting the ghosted tobacco in your pipe as...- jaxz

How often do you smoke a pipe?
A couple of weeks ago I would of responded with "1-5 times a week". I re-discovered my short cob pipe, we're looking at 5-6 times daily. Full sized bowl I'll go with 3-5 times weekly. Good way to put the day to rest.- jaxz

Nightcap
Nightcap has a higher nicotine content then Frog Morton, that maybe why it felt stronger. I believe it also has a higher latakia mixture so you probably did get accustomed to the "milder" frog.- jaxz

English Blends
I tend to lean more towards English blends myself. I would recommend trying out Squadron Leader (already suggested), Commonwealth, and Dunhill Nightcap. All are very heavy in Latakia and have a pretty good kick to them. Early Morning Pipe (also suggested) is a good intro blend. There are so...- jaxz

When to sweeten?
I have a very small collection that I'm proud of. Mind you, I've only been smoking a couple of years now, but somewhere along the line I was told twice a year is adequate unless you start tasting sourness. I do run a pipe cleaner through after each bowl...that seems to help.- jaxz
