The first bowl of the work day is Peterson Flake in my Sav Dolomiti 128 short Billiard. It's light in the clench and has a good draw. Maybe not the shiniest toy in the window, but a good smoker. I have to decide if I should drive up to Tree House for some NEIPAS, or just buy something at the package store before the snow begins to fall later. Any suggestions?1000016078.jpg

Nothing new on the rotation — still working my way through a tin of RMC Heritage Black Flake, and I’m not opening anything else until this one is done. First time ever with this blend, and honestly, it keeps surprising me. Different pipes bring out different nuances every time — dark fruit here, deeper Virginia sweetness there. That said, it’s very tempo-sensitive. Push it even a little and the flavor falls apart. But once you dial in the right pace, it’s pure enjoyment — cool, rich, and rewarding. This bowl is smoked from a Mario Pascucci P Rust 2127 (silver ring), which pairs beautifully with the blend.

I like this pipe, I think a Pete similar to this, will be my next pipe. Beautiful pipe

The next cased oldie is a 1920 Hall and Fitzgerald of Bristol Goudron (ox blood) meer - a straight amber-stemmed, gold-banded billiard with an orific bit

Good morning! Dense coastal fog this morning. I ate so much yesterday I am rolling instead of walking! My wife and I stopped buying Christmas presents for each other years ago. Every year we give each other memories. Last year it was a week in Charleston, South Carolina. We had a blast! I am thinking about this year’s memories trip as I enjoy my morning coffee, burley, cob. We’ve been doing it for ten years. Lots of special memories! Where to this year?

Ain't Charleston great? We visit there often. This year we're headed for Folly Beach for a week starting New Year's Eve.
