The HH series will be my first real loss as a pipe smoker.
This is my first real loss, too. I had a pipe during the McClelland years, but I didn't know anything besides bulk Lane until after McC closed their doors. Atlanta has three hundred cigar shops, and it's always been hard to find a tin.
It's hard to lose the Sutliff Match line. I just started getting into Revelation Match. It was such a great yesteryear blend.
On the flip side, I stashed a lot of tobacco, and now I have a large, discontinued back-catalog of blends that are now indulgent smokes. But I'm going to be sad when I'm out of HH Balkan Blend. And my 504c/Eastfarthing. And Bengal Slices.
I would bring back the Sutliff match for Early Morning Pipe
I think STG canned Russ. I looked him up on LinkedIn and he’s “open to work” which usually means someone is out of a job. Pretty sad what STG is doing. They get rid of Per & Russ to cram Cap Black and SWR dosed with vinegar down our throats.
I’d love for Russ to do some collabs with C&D — maybe we’d get some blends that actually have some casing & topping to tone down the raw, harsh tobaccos C&D sources
HH Burley Flake. Seriously, Im really fucking bent out of shape regarding this loss. MB and STG did so many people wrong.

Edward G Robinson. I can name a hundred other blends that i'll miss, but that one was a very special aromatic. I really, really hope it comes back. If not, I hope someone makes a close enough replica that can satisfy the gap it left.
St. Bruno RR (I’ve a handful of packages pre-Jan 2025) & the MacBaren HH line (Pure Virginia, Burley Flake, etc.) Also, developed a taste for the Sutliff Victorian Match. I’ve a 1/2lb or so stored away somewhere. If you haven’t already figured it out…cellar deep your favorites NOW!

Krumble cake red Virginia, probably the tastiest I’ve had. I prefer it McClellands 40th anniversary, and I say this because they are both reds. I do have a jar full, and one tin that showed up on my birthday at SP last winter, tried to buy more, but one only…
Hogshead, that stuff ran the full spectrum of Virginia flavors, a real kitchen sink red that’s both strong in nicotine, rich and complex as can be. Wipes the floor with CRF.
Whom would you bring back from the dead if you could? There's too many, and choosing one over another is treason to others. Melodramatic, but that's the way I feel about the whole mess.
And it's not like there's going to be new blends to enjoy on the horizon--whatever happened to the "deeming" regulations that they pulled out of their collective ass?

Amphora Black Cavendish. I've been smoking it ever since I started smoking a pipe. I will really miss that one.
Our Scandinavian overlords didn’t kill the entire Sutliff brand — just the good blends. Crème Brûlée, Vanilla Custard, etc. will stick around
