(
description taken from another forum thread from my post) Opened a new tin of
Robert McConnell — Heritage Ready Rubbed (I’ve written about this blend before, but decided to refresh my impressions). Just like its prototype — the 1979
Dunhill Ready Rubbed — this mixture is composed mainly of matured Virginias, harmoniously complemented by refined African Burley. The tobacco reveals a gentle, nut-like nuance as it develops. According to the manufacturer,
Robert McConnell Ready Rubbed has a more pronounced and intense “hay” aroma compared to the original blend. The appearance closely matches the classic as well.
Strength: 1.5–2 out of 5
Flavor family: Virginia-forward
Cut: Ready Rubbed (Broken Flake)
Components: Virginia, Burley
Aromaticing: none
