I tried to buy that when I was in London last april but it was sold out everywhere. It sounds really interesting.
Merry Christmas opening a tin of McClelland Christmas C (2014)...
(description taken from another forum thread from my post) Opened a new tin of Robert McConnell — Heritage Ready Rubbed (I’ve written about this blend before, but decided to refresh my impressions). Just like its prototype — the 1979 Dunhill Ready Rubbed — this mixture is composed mainly of matured Virginias, harmoniously complemented by refined African Burley. The tobacco reveals a gentle, nut-like nuance as it develops. According to the manufacturer, Robert McConnell Ready Rubbed has a more pronounced and intense “hay” aroma compared to the original blend. The appearance closely matches the classic as well.

Opening a tin of Ravenwood Moose Marmalade. This smells fantastic. 
The blend is really nice stuff, as long as you don't mind a sweet casing on your Va's. An improved OGS!
Stopped at a B&M today…. Picked up a few cigars and Pesse Canoe Oriental Flake. I was super excited to try this until I got home and opened the container

I’ve never seen moldy tobacco like this, so I’m glad you posted! Also, bummer….
So good I wish I could smoke 2 pipes at the same time. Though, this Baronet Bruyere Pot 121 EX is big enough it’s almost like smoking two pipes.

How is this blend overall?
I’ve tried the Vanilla before and, honestly, it didn’t impress me at all. The Turkish blends tend to be heavily cased, sometimes to the point where the natural tobacco character gets completely buried. This one, however, seems to be a different story — from what I can tell, it’s a straight, clean Oriental-forward blend, without that overpowering aromatic treatment. That alone already makes it far more interesting to me.
When I find out, I’ll report back. This was the first tin I ever purchased of it. Going to exchange it for another as soon as I get a chance to make it back to the B&m

Kohlhase & Kopp used the old Dunhill My Mixture 221B Baker Street (exclusive to Dunhill stores back in the day) as the prototype — a classic Virginia/Burley blend. Ribbon cut, packs and lights without fuss.
Composition: various Virginias with dark, sun-cured Burley for that roasted character and a subtle top note, similar to Royal Yacht or Three Year Matured Virginia but milder. No heavy casing. Tin note: roasted, nutty, with a light fruit hint. In the bowl: relatively mild taste and aroma at first, but don't let it fool you — it's a solid 2.5/5 in strength, with dense, earthy flavor from the Burley and sweet Virginia base. Burns cool, high-quality leaf. On TobaccoReviews it's around 3.2–3.3/4 average — smokers like the balance and natural tobacco taste, call it reliable without being overpowering. A few mention it's close to the original 221B but softer.

I haven't opened a fresh tin in probably 3 years. So many jam jars of samples in my stash I felt guilty. I have tried a few pouches, but not tins. I had a *very* stressful day today so I decided the heck with it. I decided to f i n a l l y board the Black Frigate!

Surprisingly, no visible sugar crystals despite nearly 20 years of age. Still quite moist. Will need some dry time. The trademark McClelland aroma still beautifully present.
