Woops, I just dropped this in the past, so I’ll now copy it into the present:

Dark Sails in the Briarlee was today’s “usual blends in the usual pipe” commute.

Now in field there’s some HU Dark Moor drying a bit before going into the WDC Milano Hesson (pat 1925).
Blend is pretty smooth, fairly strong, but was a little rough on the palate on my first try. The jarred 100g will probably get some time on the shelf and the other 100g tin will be set aside for some age.View attachment 389518
There are so many uses for a snus tin!! Anything from matches to pipe tobacco.

This is my one and only aromatic pipe, but that needs to change.
I have about 8 pipes that I rotate from day to day - usually two separate pipes each day, never smoking one that is still warm. But I have never differentiated specific pipes for aromatics vs. pipes specific to non-aromatics. Is that what you are referencing? Is that what you do? Is this a personal preference or something recommended that I was not aware of?

Taking a break from planting a few trees and shrubs with a bowl of OJK Blue in a MM Pride. Last item to plant is a prickly pear cactus. Not looking forward to it. Besides the large spines, I didn’t realize that they have tiny, barbed spines called glochids that embed in the skin. I found out yesterday when I picked up the plants at the nursery. Ouch! Beware of glochids! That’s my public service announcement for today.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of 2017 Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 Peretti's M.T. Natural made in Holland straight smooth brown Algerian briar billiard with a tapered black acrylic stem.

I followed that with a bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

Currently, I'm near the first third of this bowl of year 2016 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake in a straight smooth brown post-1964 Parker Super Bruyere 88/F group 3 bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Been busy writing and editing.

Many pipers have pipes dedicated to genres of tobacco or any other system they figure out.
I have pipes for Virginia/Burley blends, pipes for Latakia blends and one aromatic pipe...for now. My Meerschaums smoke whatever.
