Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake from 2013 in an Excelsior Italian pipe.
This is one of the best smelling tin aroma blends after 12 years. It smells like Fig Newton's and a touch of red wine. If you sniff too hard it tingles your nose like ammonia.
All of that may not sound great, but it's nearly intoxicating. It has become much darker in color and more rich tasting with the years on it.
And yes, the pipe stem needs attention!

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This should get me to dinner time. Just let Abner the Eager back in. He wasn't gone long. Watching the Braves-Reds game, and am going to some preliminary bowl reaming on two of David Cuneo's estate pipes.

Working on my tractor is almost more annoying than working with some of the guys on my crew, but it’s older than them and not as entitled with attitude.
The Kaywoodie Relief Grain 04 Lovat filled with GLP Fillmore made getting the position control and draft control adjusted for the Gannon box that’s probably way too heavy for my little tractor has been a nightmare since I’ve had it, but I’m hoping I’ve finally got it.
Don’t mind the dirty lip, I guess it comes with wrenching on greasy farm equipment while smoking a pipe 🤣

Wow, I missed a LOT while gone on a motorcycle vacation to the mountains with no cell service. Had to make do with cigars while gone due to packing space limitations. Had a blast, but missed my Lat and DFK blends. First, I had enough Peter Heinrichs English in a MM Country Gentleman it was packed as hard as a brick. And I loved it!

Man, that is an awesome piece of history... funny enough I just went down a historical documentary rabbit hole about the revolution, free state, and Michael "The Big Fellah" Collins...
I'm only about 1/8th a Mick myself but I'd absolutely adore having such a beautiful, patina'd piece from that era, wow 🤩
As 1/2 a Mick who doesn’t have any pre-republic Petes myself, what do I do? Maybe drink some Irish whiskey, er, I mean whisky?

Celebrating Cob Tue (5/06) with something new.
Notwithstanding my other cobs, I've always admired MM Missouri Prides for the rugged basic simplicity of their Natural Unfinished bowls. YouTube has some interesting videos on them, where owners pay tribute to their Prides. So, about a year ago, I went ahead & purchased both a Straight & a Bent Pride ... wonderful pipes (!!!).
About 2 weeks back, I was looking at MM's web site & saw that they've now added the Natural Finish to some of their other cobs. I've always admired the Country Gentleman for its barrel shape & size but did not care for the black stain. To me, it looked odd, dirty. No offense to those who like it. But the Country Gentleman with Natural Finish ... (?) ... OH YEAH. Ordered one (a Bent), it arrived just before the weekend & now today ... being Cob Tue ... it's a perfect day to break it in on its Maiden Voyage. I decided on some well dried Winchester. This one has a really rough finish, feels great in the hand.

Some of your cat posts need to come with a cuteness warning, Jim. I was unprepared for the adorableness!
