I bought this Porto Cervo some time in the early '00s from the Jim Mate Pipe Shop here in San Francisco. Sadly they closed some time in the '00s as well. It's starting to show some oxidation on the stem (a bit dull and brownish), so I need to study up on how to fix that.

Bought this Savinelii Trevi Rusticated 320 KS (6mm) in October. I wanted to start trying out filtered pipes.

It’s been working out nicely, smoother smoking and less irritating. Next I plan to go with a 9mm for another pipe. I hear they are nicer, and less restrictive feeling on the draw.

I like a 9mm filter, when I smoke a filtered pipe.

IMG_5758.jpegIMG_5788.jpegI have a brand new Punto Oro Gold 626 on the way but I also just picked up a Tre smooth Dublin shape 401.

I normally don’t do estates but it was only smoked twice (according to the seller) and I am a HUGE fan of the Tre line from Savinelli. This thing has beautiful grain and was only $60 shipped. At about half the normal price for the Tre smooth line, I was willing to pull the trigger even though it’s been smoked a couple of times.

IMG_5806.jpegIMG_5811.jpegIMG_5819.jpegMy new Savinelli 626 Punto oro gold and only smoked twice Tre Smooth 401. I was concerned about the 401 because the seller didn’t accept returns, had little sales history, and claimed the pipe was only smoked twice but didn’t have great chamber pictures. My gamble paid off as there’s barely any carbon whatsoever in the chamber and the seller was truthful.

PAD snagged one of the "Vintage/Legacy" Dry Systems from the SP Christmas drop... I was really hesitant but dang what a handsome Dubliner... plus I'm a sucker for filters and big ole boles... I think this is definitely gonna be a favorite.

Gorgeous grain!

Also, this certainly serves as cause to mourn the discontinuation of LLRR. Good thing the brandy is in close proximity! 🥴

Sorry to trigger any ptsd brother 😅
Yeah I panic bought just a couple when I saw it originally going out of stock places. Then it came back in for about another 6 months and was like welp, that was for nothing. Then they were gone forever.
My spidey senses have been heightened since McClelland.. I've learned now if ya ever see the "notify me" button dissappear on SP but can find it somewhere else still... pounce like a damn cheetah lol

And thanks! Yeah the flame is what pushed me over the edge haha

Thanks! What's your favorite Savinelli pipe?
I have a predilection for classic shapes - so straight or bent billiards.
For some reason I‘m not drawn to the Sav Bulldogs.
Hence the only 2 Savinellis in my stash (Posted in another thread)
A straight shape 102 and a bent shape 616KS

I don’t use filters. And dislike coloured stems and bowls.
So that limits my choices

I do like nosewarmers and love the old (initial release) Lollo. Not too keen on the newer iterations.
