I understand most burley blends will have a cigarettey smell and flavor to them, but at the same time I don’t think I’ve ever smoked a cigarette that smelled or tasted as good/nuanced as Haunted Bookshop.- zercules

When Building Cake
I’m not an old timer, but I’ve had no problem building cake. Just smoke the same pipe a lot. I use the edge of the spoon bit on the Czech pipe tool and scrape down the high spots if they appear. How Do You Store a Lit Bowl
No. You can easily put the pipe out by cutting air off to the ember. Covering the end of the bit and the bowl of the pipe. I recommend dumping out the loose ash too. And when you go to light up again, exhale some of your breath into the bowl to wet it a bit (if that makes any sense). That’s...- zercules

Different pipes for different tobaccos, Myth?
The only opinion I have is that smaller bowls smoke shag cut best, but other than that I think it’s just personal preference. Most of my pipes are bulldogs and what I appoint them to is completely arbitrary.- zercules
