It’s my saliva, no doubt. Shortly after lighting up and taking a few draws, the moisture is only in the stem, I can remove it and shake out the drool. I don’t have that issue as long as I keep the bowl above my mouth.- Smokeybandit

I can’t speak for the OP, but my tongue is no where near the bit as I don’t clench the pipe in my teeth whilst enjoying a bowl, the bit is barely between my lips, any further and it will get wet with drool. I find the straights to be worse and have better luck with the bent. I’ve had this issue as long as I can remember, from playing the sax and constantly having to drain (maybe a pipe bit with a spit drain 😍) and smoking cigarettes and having the same problem getting the butt wet. If you’re anything like me, it’s the saliva, I drool a bit with any of the tobaccos I’ve tried. I purchased a bent and full bent pipe and that seems to help, I just tilt the bowl up and the stem acts like an inverted trap.- Smokeybandit
