***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Pesse Canoe Oriental Flake in the trusty Medico mail order egg. I'm drinking some vintage Mission Brewing spiced pumpkin ale along with it - a winning combination. Cheers, gents.

1931 Flake in the Bari Senior pickaxe. With ice water and a small snort of McKenna's BIB. On the back patio with the wet weather coming in.

    Taking My Leave

Godspeed, good Sir Embers. Thank you for all you have done for this community. I wish for you a most calm, loving, and easy transition, and the richest rewards, duly deserved, in your next destination. You will be missed greatly, but remembered fondly, and often.

    Mustard

Trader Joe's sells a delicious and economical Dijon mustard that's got a wonderful wasabi-like kick to it. Lowensenf Duesseldorf style mustard is similar to Dijon and always delicious. Beaver Sweet-Hot is pretty great. Inglehoffer mustards are yummy, too! I'm with you - I love mustard!!

***What Are You Smoking, October 2025?***

Tonight I mixed the bottom of the jar dregs from Granger, Mixture 79, and GH Rum Flake for a tasty smoke from the Washington cob, and followed up with a bowl of Coniston. Very satisfying indeed. Especially paired with a Boont Amber ale from Anderson Valley Brewing.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Smoking some Granger in a cob, with a cup of coffee. I'm on day two of a killer upper respiratory cold and I don't usually want to smoke much when I'm sick, but I guess I hoped to squeeze whatever comfort might result from a bowl of burley goodness. It's working. Might have to follow up with...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Sorry you didn't get a chance to try it. There's photos in this thread shared by @ashdigger of the moldy tin he received. Pesse Canoe :: Pipe Tobacco Discussion - https://pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/pesse-canoe.110388/#post-37245702 It's a shame they don't seem to have good quality...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Wow, that looks terrible! Sorry you got a bad one - I was looking forward to your impression of it. That's at least the second tin someone has opened in similarly poor condition. Gladora needs better quality control, and a better seal on those tins! Making me think twice about stocking up on...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Last night I opened this tin of Gladora Pesse Canoe Oriental Flake. It came in a recent SP order that included several SG tins. Upon opening the parcel I got a strong whiff of fruity floralness and remembered from someone else's review of this tobacco that the tins of this particular...

***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Tonight it's my first go at the Pesse Canoe Oriental Flake in my trusty Medico mail order egg. I'm REALLY enjoying it. It's a very unique flavor profile that will take me awhile to be able to describe, but I can say it's quite rich, kind of buttery, and it's very well behaved. Definitely will...
