    Made a Few Pipe Ashtrays

Thank you, about 20 years. I turn 40 next week so it's about that time to make some decisions. Quit drinking 2 years ago and I think this will be just as difficult if not more so. I'm hoping to get down to a "normal" pipe schedule of once per day or less, but I've been puffing on them like...

    Made a Few Pipe Ashtrays

It's always a good idea to have water nearby when you're burning stuff! Even with a pipe, sometimes an ember will fall and if I'm getting ready to leave or sleep I'll just pour a bit of water on it to be (more) sure! Fire gets out of control fast!

    Made a Few Pipe Ashtrays

Haha I stand corrected! I guess I just made it into a pipe ashtray

    Made a Few Pipe Ashtrays

Been trying to stay busy as I'm trying to not smoke cigarettes anymore and a big part of that is staying busy. I used to put my cigarettes out in a glass jar of water after an experience starting a fire at an old apartment (long story) and realized I'm going to need a few ashtrays for pipes as...

Aging tobacco in my own lifespan

Interesting point about sometimes blends are better fresh- not aged. Is there then any way to "prevent" aging while cellaring, so that nothing really changes? Packing jars really full and tight, vacuum sealing? Or at least minimize it? As I start to buy more tobacco for later of my favorite...

    This is a Bit Extreme.

As a recovering alcoholic who has destroyed their life several times with alcohol, it's really amazing how alcohol avoids all the negative attention! It's got to be one of the worst drugs with very little real benefit. I was thinking about this when the govt. said they'll review marijuana's...

    Molto Dolce

I keep some of my goopy aromatics in the bail-top jars and it also has allowed them to dry out a bit over the course of months. I don't think they seal as airtight as the 2-piece lids.

Left Opened Tin of Cobblestone Vanilla Custard in my Jeep Over a Year

I think I might try this in my old Datsun, it was made before catalytic converters so the exhaust aroma might age it nicely and give it "more octane"

    Nebraska Pipe Clubs

I think this would be fun! Although I'm stuck in and around Omaha for now

    Glass Skull Mason Jars

That's a cool idea! I actually had ordered a colored/iridescent one first for more ($15) but read the paint sometimes chips and smells- not something desirable for tobacco storage. So I have this one for display and the clear ones for useable storage.

    Glass Skull Mason Jars

Yeah, I wanted to know myself but you gave me the nudge... filled it with some Old Dark Fired, seems appropriate.

    Glass Skull Mason Jars

Just in time for the Halloween season, I had a few of these delivered today. They are 16 oz and come with a lid with a straw hole in it, but a regular mouth 2-piece mason jar lid fits them for tobacco storage. They are pricey most places, but are $3 each (on sale) at barproducts. com. I might...

    Omug Simsek Skull Pipe

Huh, for whatever reason he said "No", I even offered to pay and everything. Said the stem was ground down with the pipe and unique to it.

    Omug Simsek Skull Pipe

Thank you, and yes, I agree he did an amazing job with the skull's expression. He has several skull designs and I liked how he made it look sad yet accurate. So glad I went with the yellow stem, I even messaged him asking if he could do black instead. Now I just need to find a good blend...
