What works better, Mason Jar VS (See pic inside)

just make sure it's sealed good. for the stuff i'm not "cellaring", i use some plastics (for stacking convenience) - and i find i need to keep a sheet of plastic (saran wrap, sandwich bag, etc.) in the mix to make damn sure the covers seal properly. doody.

Back From LJ Peretti's (I Mean Boston)

There is still an Ehrlich's, but it isn't a pipe store with guys making pipes in the window. It's a bar/restaurant in Boston near Faneuil Hall that has a good-sized walk-in cigar humidor and a few hand-blended pipe tobaccos. It's not a pipe destination - other than to enjoy a bowl with a drink...

New to Pipe actually smoked my first bowl today!

aromatics are a great start IMO. they'll get you well-acquainted with the whole thing and then you can start to leverage those to learn what sort of tobaccos you like/love/hate and explore from there. welcome to the insanity! doody

I think I am doing something wrong - cleaning

i seriously doubt your saliva is taking the FINISH off. it's probably just a crudload of gunk on it. i've done that to some of my pipes (though not when they're HOT) and i'm always amazed at how much crud comes off - even when they look clean - and i know i'm not pulling finish off. doody.

How Do You Like Your Steak?

Julia Child once amusingly quipped that if you wanted your beef cooked more than medium rare, then, well, you should just choose to eat something else instead.

In order, favorite at the top: Watch City Churchwarden G.L. Pease Sextant L.J. Peretti Blend 500 Esoterica Tobacciana Penzance No clear #5 at this point - I've got about half a dozen blends trying to get sorted into that spot! I'd LOVE to hear suggestions from folks if they're familiar...
