    Mason jar seals

I used to make the mistake of over tightening the shit out of my jars and that will mess up a seal. If you just tighten it enough to let the seal do the work they hold up well. The caveman in me thought “tighter must be better so big tight mean more better.” Not the case here though.

Which no longer produced tobacco blend do you or will you miss the most?

Luckily I stocked up enough that I haven’t had to miss anything yet but I know a few I will miss when I run out. Hh Burley Flake, Cobblestone Chess Knight and Hiking.

    How much do you cellar?

Interesting, I threw out some bulk bignburley last winter that molded as well. I had only bought it maybe 5-6 months prior.

Popular Blends That Hit Your Blind Spot?

There are a few I can think of for myself, idk if they are all widely loved blends but I am not that much in the know of things. Amphora Burley- like smoking decaf chocolate flavored air Half and half- I don’t get the love for this one. Must have been a lot different in the past MB Vanilla...

    Short term tobacco storage questions

Pipe smoking in the south seems like a struggle. I have never had to deal with tobacco getting moist from being open. Always the other way around which is beneficial cause I like it drier. Last time I was in the south I only smoked my pipe twice and it was so hot I couldn’t stand holding my...

    Dry tobacco equal dry mouth?

Dry mouth= Drink water. Easy fix. From beyond smokes great on the dry side. Sounds like your hydration needs attention. I have been there myself when working a lot and not taking care of myself. When I am properly hydrated the tobacco tends to taste better too. Win win.

    Best Smelling Non-Aromatic Blends

Humble opinion noted. Unfortunately this relationship ain’t my first rodeo. Trying to find a balance between doing it better than the last time and not giving into unnecessary crap. This, I will give on though. She is pretty cool most of the time and beautiful all the time so I’ll cut her some...

Same here with the room note. Here I thought they all smelled good while I was smoking them. Apparently thats not the case lol.

Did Half & Half Change, Too?

Wish I could have tried the old half and half before my time. I was confused when I purchased some a while back. Smelt like cheap tobacco and smoked like… well, cheap tobacco. Crazy thing is though is you can get haunted bookshop or the like for cheaper than a pouch of h&h.

    Best Smelling Non-Aromatic Blends

I have been wondering about this one for a while actually. As much as she compliments the smell of Gawiths Burley and Bright being chocolaty that sounds right up the alley. I think this might be my next purchase.

    Best Smelling Non-Aromatic Blends

Luckily mine smokes cigars with me when I can smoke outside. She prefers Maduro so she has good taste in tobacco and doesn’t mind the smell. Some blends smoked indoors seem to bother her though.

    Best Smelling Non-Aromatic Blends

Thanks for the recommendations. Funny that she has complained about goopy aros as well. I thought that would go over well and tried a few to see how they were. She was disgusted by BRM. I’m kinda glad cause I couldn’t have smoked through a tin of that myself anyway. Makes for a nice potpourri on...

    Best Smelling Non-Aromatic Blends

She hasn’t complained about it yet. I have actually been meaning to hit you up to tell you I retract my statement about it being an “okay” blend. I just burned through a couple ounces of it and was suprised how much I like it. I think I might have been burnt out on burley when I received it...
