Drying Tobacco in 100% Humidity
Science guy here. I have a 2 compartment Tupperware style plastic tub I use to wring excess moisture out of Gawith flakes. Flakes in one side, silica gel on the other. The silica gel is available in hardware stores, and pet stores sell it for litter boxes. It can be recycled by baking in oven...- justscience

Decided to raid the cellar for an oriental blend and grabbed a 3/05 tin of Squadron Leader. Put it in a Pete 69 I bought the same time and have also ignored. 18 years have gone by fast. Much prefer the present. Nice smoke, btw.- justscience

American Factory Pipes
From top: CPF meer, my best meer at that; an unsmoked WDC "Highest Grade" ; third is a workhorse LHS Durbar with a recycled P-lip stem. I have many Wally Frank pipes and I'm uncertain of their countries of origin. They were part and parcel of American pipe smoking for decades.- justscience
