    Thanks, gents. I see that there's a cigar bar on State St. so I might try that. Since my dad is 88, standing outside or in a park may not be viable. As far as SF, smoking in parks away from people doesn't seem to be an issue. I do it regularly in Golden Gate Park and have never had a problem.

    This might be a silly question, but would a completely colored meerschaum lose its ability to provide a drier smoke, since the block's pores are now pretty well saturated and no longer as absorbent as a new pipe?
