I think I recall our dear friend and seasoned hunter @alaskanpiper mentioning in another thread that he doesn't smoke when hunting moose as to not scare off the animals with the smell.- Gecko

I remember my grandfather's hunting team back in the 80s, those guys smoked like chimneys while hunting moose and deer. They claimed the tobacco scent unlike human scent did not scare the animals.- Gecko

Army Mount
I would recommend getting one of the cheaper Peterson "Irish Army" or "System Standard" pipes in a shape you like. With them you get a real army mount and high quality beater take everywhere pipe. I'm real happy with the ones I've got.- Gecko

How Do You Stay Fit?
I find using a posture corrector when having desk days is beneficial. It remindes me not to slouch when sitting in front of a monitor all day and at the end of the day my back is not as tired as it otherwise would have been.- Gecko
