    Why Peterson?

I have 8 Petersons counting this year's St. Pats limited I have on the way. I've never had any serious problems with any of them. My 2021 Christmas Hansom had off center drilling, too high, but it doesn't affect smoking in any way, I just can't run a cleaner without taking the stem off. My 68...

    Peterson St. Patrick’s Day 2023

I had a sandblasted Zulu in my cart from SP yesterday, #887, but it disappeared in the crash. Luckily my second choice was another Peterson 15 Straight Billiard, and there were a few sandblasts left so I got #905.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2021?***

Nope, it's just TB's. If there's a similar cherry, I have not found it!

English Bents, pre-1900, and Sherlock Holmes.

Brett is my #1. My top 3 is Brett, Plummer, THEN a tie between Rathbone and Cushing. I'm trying to play him like Jeremy Brett, but not exactly like him, because no one else can pull it off. Ian Richardson's Holmes is quite underrated, too.

I I've smoked and acted before. I've been at this for decades, I'm a pro! But we can't use real tobacco, I'll be using honeyrose stuff.

This is open to the public. This is Neumann University in Aston, PA. Nov 10-13. I also teach at Lehigh University.

Honeyrose makes a tobacco that is rose petals, red clover, etc. It's what people who don't smoke use on stage or film. We're not actually allowed to use real tobacco at the university, or I damn sure would! But two of my students are all gung ho about smoking in the show. Back in the day, when I...

English Bents, pre-1900, and Sherlock Holmes.

I forgot I had seen these, and that's definitely a straight one. But all these pictures of bent 1880's/'90s pipes are quite eye opening. Thank you all! I should add that I'm directing this, as well. I direct a university program. I cast two students as Holmes and Watson, Watson dropped out of...

Very helpful! Awesome. I was toying with using a Peterson system pipe for this.

The Blue Carbuncle, so Christmas of 1891, if we're really being specific, but of course, it doesn't have to be.

Yes, I won't exactly be using a hypo on stage. But I have the perfect clay and cherrywood....I really want to pick the perfect briar. People expect a bent, though. Just like they'll expect the deerstalker hat, even if he only wore it occasionally, when traveling.

Hello all, I remember reading an article once about the bent billiard not becoming popular in England until approximately 1900, during the Boer War, and the introduction of the Hungarian/Oom Paul. Can anyone point me to any similar articles explaining this? The main reason I ask, I'm actually...

***What are You Smoking, April 2022?***

Haunted Bookshop in a Molina Barasso Straight Pot. Watching Rocky V with my wife, because she actually wanted to watch Rocky V. (She hasn't seen this one.)

***What are You Smoking, March 2022?***

Haven't been around in about a month! Still smoking everyday, about to enjoy some Granger in a Peterson Aran Rustic Canadian. I've also been doing cigars again lately...the wife gave permission!
