I concur. My reasoning though for going with the Benjamins is, in the not-so-unlikely-anymore-case that we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic-idiocracy scenario (some might argue we're there already) and you're trying to use these for barter, the average chicken farmer you might be talking to will likely be less skeptical if you don't have to explain about the year.
But then they will get flabbergasted when you pull out a walking liberty

We have Chicken Salt in Aussie-Land, but no chicken seeds.
I've spent most of my teenage years feeding the chickens and occasionally choking the chickens when the mood allowed ; which is doubly weird seeing as we didn't even raise chickens!
