No. I just looked at a picture doesn't look familiar. Is this blend pretty good? I don't know what this stuff my dad had was called but I think I'd recognize it maybe. It's been a really long time. I'll probably never know.

After reading the thread i'm guessing that a few of the posters are shaking their heads calling me a philistine
. It works for me, tho. The coffee is alright and it's nice and easy.

I think the wife tried several before finding the brand that worked well. It is nice to have the pot option when having guests or a party, or if you plan on having several cups.
We had a K cup only machine before this one and it died while my brother and cousin were visiting us. We resorted to pour over and my cousin said the reduced coffee throughput would reduce our Yelp rating.
That is why we bought the combo machine.

Well so I looked at a couple Nespresso machines, I almost got one too because the pictures they had advertising it at the store, the coffee looks just like that there. Looks delicious.I use Nespresso Vertuo.

It depends on what I want out of my coffee in that moment and the time I’m looking to invest. Most of the time, I use the little pour over cup as my current “go to”.
I did a French press this morning for the first time in a few months for something different. The percolator might be my favorite method but I usually only do it when I have guests over who also want coffee (my wife drinks tea). The perc is too large to just do a cup.
The chemex is the least used but once In a blue moon, I will.
I always grind at time of brewing and for the most part buy from a local roaster that I like.
Life is too short to drink cheap coffee!

I like it but i'm definitely no connoisseur when it comes to coffee. I love the choice of capsules and the ease of use. Pop a capsule in, press the button and the machine does the rest. I'm a total slacker so anything that's a doddle to use is right up my alley.
My wife purchased a Cuisinart drip-type coffee maker several years ago, and it's still going strong. We favor Starbucks French roast in a Turkish grind, and the results are always good.
I agree with troutface's comment (above) about nothing good coming out of a Keurig; plastic coffee...yuck!

I feel ya on that. I'm kinda trying to find the middle ground, the laziest best cup of coffee would be ideal.
Bunn makes decent coffee makers. Have had Braun (decent flavor but unreliable) and Cuisinart (not very tasty IMO) in the past.
I prefer my Revere Ware stove top percolator with Chock Full o' Nuts coffee.
Confession: when I don't have much time (i.e. most weekdays), I just put a couple teaspoons worth of espresso ground coffee into my mug, pour hot water, stir, and the coffee is done.

I haven't had that in decades, though I recall it fondly. These days I go to a local roaster and use a burr grinder and Melitta filter cone.
me too. It's the best coffee maker for the price, by such an insane amount. And the thing will out last either of us.I like coffee from a moka pot. Coffee brand wise, my pedestrian taste is happy with Bustelo.
We've got a Keurig k-duo and I only use the pot side while my wife likes the pods. I buy WalMart-brand French roast, 2 pounds for $16. The two make a fine pot. Gourmet-level? Probably not. But disagree with the poster who saId life is too short for cheap coffee. No, life is too long for retired folks if they run out of money. Indeed , depending on the sort and roast of the coffee these make hell of a strong brew
