He's a handsome fella. Looks like he's been sheared only very recently - and why not the chest? Is he a Texel cross of some kind?
Morning MisterBadger,

Yes, he’s a good looking ram. He’s a Katahdin breed. I chose this breed for the meat quality and ease of care. Since they’re a hair breed, they shed their winter coat every year in the late Spring. No horns to debud and no tails to dock. I trim the breeder ewes hooves twice a year.
“Romeo’s” coat is shorter on his sides due to rubbing on the fences to scratch. We’ve had a very odd, warm fall. I think he’s delayed in growing a thicker coat and he’s feeling “hot” when it’s 50 degrees F and he’s chasing ewes around.😉 He broke a wooden fence post at ground level a few days ago letting the chickens out of there run. I saw him head butting a sprinkler riser yesterday.
If the girls are not interested in him he gets board. 🤨

I have a long day ahead of me-- full day of work, and then after that, I have a 3.5 hour drive ahead of me to visit my 88-year-old Mom for a few days.

That being said, I've chosen a bowl of one of my all-time favorites, sadly, no longer produced.

Wessex Tradition English mixture, this particular tin was purchased in 2006, and I'm almost finished with it. I have about 5 more tins unopened in reserve. I really, really wish this blend would be resurrected.
Pairing it with a well-loved 1980's Peterson silver-mounted Donegal Rocky.

Finishing what is, most likely, my final full bowl of Samuel Gawith's Christmas Mixture 2007 in my meerschaum bulldog. Granted, this tobacco seems much maligned for its overt Christmas flavorings. But I've enjoyed a little bit each year for quite some time. But now it appears my cellared backlog is nearing its end. The final bits of tobacco will likely be combined later this month with the small amount of C&D Pegasus in another jar!

Christmas cob. :) MO Meerschaum Boone pipe. Borkum Riff Original tobacco. Cameron's Creme Brulee coffee. "Father Brown" on Audible.

Have created a spreadsheet for my tobacco-tasting journey. It includes drying time tests, packing method tests, and pipe sizes/shapes tried (plus lots of other information such as source, price, storage method, etc.) Relying on memory has not proven trustworthy. :)Snapseed 45.jpeg

A third of a bowl left of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed all the cats except for the absent Tomato the Brave. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
