That stuff is truly rotten. Bought a couple tins, had one bowl, awful. Now I'm concerned the other tin is a sitting contaminant. Never thrown out an unopen tin, first time for everything.
I got the aro as soon as it was released, and it's fine. Maybe we're the lucky ones thoughI have three jars containing the three Pesse Canoe blends that I purchased upon their release earlier this year. When they arrived, I transferred the contents to mason jars. There is zero evidence of mold in any of these jars. To call moldy tins an “epidemic” is sheer hyperbole.
I’ve had one of each (oriental, lat 20 and lat 40) and in Canada they come in sealed generic pouches rather than tins. No issues with mold but I also notice what you’re talking about. If I’m honest it‘s kind of off-putting and strange. Feels like how particle board is made in woodworking.I was surprised at how these flakes crumbled. It didnt really rub out/delaminate but quite literally crumble into doughy pills.
Its entertaining to me how many brands tin tobacco especially for the US Market. Imagine Peterson and Orlik's demise here if they came bagged.I’ve had one of each (oriental, lat 20 and lat 40) and in Canada they come in sealed generic pouches rather than tins. To each their own but I found all of them a bit suspect quality-wise, even if they smoke ok.
Still better then Kite or Bugler or Top. I know those are rolling tobaccos, but it would be hard to find tobacco as low grade as those brands even if you scrapped off the dirt on a tractors wheels.Jeez whose producing that trash
It is one of my favorite blends i think they use some kind of natural fruit molassesHadn’t seen that thread before and it doesn’t seem well regarded. I might not have bought it if I had read that, but I’m glad I did. I’m enjoying it but it is an odd blend with some characteristics of an aromatic, although it seems closer to a Dan blend than an American blend to me. YMMV
Yeah, it reminded me of pomegranate molasses, which is sweet, fruity, and tangy. It is one of my favorite blends i think they use some kind of natural fruit molasses
and would make sense considering that is how they make seesha or however hooka tobacco is spelled. It is one of my favorite blends i think they use some kind of natural fruit molasses
I opened both of my tins and put them into Mason JarsYeah, it reminded me of pomegranate molasses, which is sweet, fruity, and tangy.
I think the Pesse Canoe blends are intriguing smokes, and am glad they're on the market. If they could fix the worthless tin issue it would be much better, but they've certainly found a niche that few other brands are in so they should keep going and secure their little corner of the market.
As did I, and I’ve had zero mold develop in any of the three jars I packaged up. But when those unsold tins sit on the shelf at the B&M, they’re drying out rapidly as the seal is no better than a tin of Altoids. They should switch to an actual sealed tin…I opened both of my tins and put them into Mason Jars
