Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Watching an episode of Cannon starring the fella who used to own this pipe. :)

Always liked Cannon, but I LOVE William Conrad's radio career, especially all the years he did as the voice of Matt Dillon on the Gunsmoke radio series.

Then there's his voice-over narration career for The Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons-- it just doesn't get any better than that!

Great looking pipe with a story-- that's the best kind.

Man, I LOVE that pipe! I love reed/bamboo stems on a pipe of any kind, though you usually only see them on old cobs.
Why thank you, good Sir! It's been really fun smoking that little guy. The stem is just a piece of garden bamboo stake - picked a real straight section. The center of the bamboo was soft and oh-so easy to drill out. 😻

If -- and that's a big IF -- you are interested in any more details, I posted a while back a little more about it.

Enjoyed a little low calorie snacking, and am half through this last of this tin of year 2012 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. The ferals ate well, and except for Daisy the Feral Princess went back out. She wanted to go out right as I started to type this post, but when I opened the door and Daisy saw how cold it was, she turned around and went to her favorite blanket. Dunno where Harry the Hairy is, but Tomato the Brave is in one of the heated cat houses.

I love listening to old radio shows. I own, as a guess, over 50,000 shows on CD, most of which I have listened to. I have a ton of them on tape and don't know what to do with them. Have you heard the years when Conrad narrated Escape and Mr. President? Escape was a great series.

Oh yes! Not to get too far off topic, but I listen to OTR literally every single day via the Internet Archive and the OTRR website. using the Internet Archive collections allows me to binge on the fly on a particular series. Escape is indeed a great series. Only heard a few episodes of Mr. President.

But I have several complete collections in mp3 format and a few in CD format. Lots of variety genre-wise from "Life of Riley" to Inner Sanctum, to X Minus One and its sister series, Dimension X, Speed Gibson, Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, The Shadow and dozens of others, including some weird little-known shows like Blue Beetle, Ports of Call and World Adventurers Club.

I'm a bona fide OTR junkie.

And yes, I even have the Archie Andrews series, through most of its iterations.
But you wouldn't know anything about that guy....😆

Part way through this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 67/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. I saw that the outside light was on, and on the door mat was Harry the Hairy. He's in and eating. As cold as it is outside, I hope that he'll stay in.

Half way through this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Tomato the Brave was at the door, and I let him in to eat. It's not his wet food time although I could see him asking me for it. Tomato has a certain look on his face when he doesn't get it, and I know that look. He did eat a lot of dry food, and after he thanked me, he started wandering around the den until he decided my lap was the best place for him to get attention.
