It’s a cool looking pipe—congratulations! I’ll be curious to see if anyone turns up anything meaningful on this pipe; the listings I found both refer to what seem to be your original purchase of this pipe. The title of this thread also made me think of “chubster” and I imagined the possibilities of some different kinds of inappropriate photos.

I have a pipe that looks pretty much like yours, except it's stamped Pickwick, Imported Briar. It also has a silver band that doesn't look like a repair band but might be, and it's stamped Sterling and has some hallmarks on it. I've had it for about 10 years and it's looks great and smokes great. I know Sasieni had a sub brand called Mr. Pickwick but it wasn't stamped imported briar as it was made in England I believe, so I don't think my pipe is related to Sasieni. I have no idea who made it but because it's stamped Imported Briar, that usually indicates a pipe made in the US. Like rowdyroddypiper, I would welcome some info if possible about these chubsters. 😁

I have seen a few Pickwick arms pipes that look similar to what you have.

Ok, time to muddy the waters a little more. Trying to find another pipe that looks like these and eBay popped this up. Looks pretty close but with some Tracey Mincer style carving on the bowl. I can't read the bottom line of the stamping below the word Short so who knows, but it too is stamped Imported Briar on the other side of the shank. Ain't this fun...? 😜

My first post, been lurking.

Can anyone help me identify who made this pipe? Can't find anything on the old internet. View attachment 437623
Are there any other stampings or symbols on it?

Searched Pipedia- nothing.

AI says most likely a branded house pipe for a store made under contract with from a known pipe manufacturer.

Great looking chunky pipe though

No other markings. It has been driving me nuts trying to figure out who made it so I can try to find more of them 😅.
