Did you see any Aurora last night?Yes, much further North.
The jet steam is keeping Polar Vortex like weather in east Idaho. The wet weather off the PNW cost is getting pushed north.
Honestly, we need some more fall/winter moisture for water next year.
And some cold temps to help kill more of the insects larva.
Carol,Did you see any Aurora last night?
Sorry, @Fralphog . I’m not trying to steal your conversation, but @Carol I saw them for the first time in my life a little before thanksgiving and of all the places I never thought I would see them…my backyard is where it took place. Here’s a pic I snapped that didn’t turn out very well. It was beautiful.Carol,
I have see the “lights” here, but it’s rare. We’re not far enough North to see them with regularity.
When the atmospheric conditions are right, on a clear, cold Winter night you may catch a glimpse. Usually out away from the light of the surrounding cities.
They are a site to behold!

Agree with you there. The more ticks that die the better.Yes, much further North.

UPDATE:
So, last night I never returned to those 2 pipes. Second mug of port wine with that hot meal in my belly & I headed for bed. Now, a return to those pipes & I've discovered something excellent. DGT with Yorktown is fantastic! I'd pulled out enough from the jar for those pipes, but I'm thinking I'll pull out some more. I may live with this Yorktown for a while. I went back to TR's & reread all 6 pages, with most reviews very favorable, even some opinions that said it was the best VA they've ever had.
And ... I'm going to try adding about 25% Perique to make my own Bayou Morning.
And ... there's another C&D blend that starts with Bayou Morning but adds a bit of Black Cav. I'll also try that. I can't remember the name of the blend, so if anybody knows, let me know. Thanks!
