A good time to stock up on faves or start new piles of stuff you want to try.

It usually means lots of this year production but I have had luck with 8 oz tins with a year or even three on them. I don't need another tin of tobacco but I will browse... always do.

Ordered Chenets Cake, Blockade Runner, After Hours, Bayou Morning, and Black Frigate.

I believe I had Bayou Morning years ago but don’t have it journaled anywhere on notes - the rest are new to me.

For anyone trying new-to-them C&D blends: without fail, I have found that ALL of them are far better, less bitey, more smooth, after being opened for a week or two. YMMV
Then again, my palate may feel that way about most blends, but don't discount your first experience if it's less than you expected.
Agreed. Normally my first impression on a C&D is I don’t care for it when I open and smoke it fresh.
Letting it sit in a jar or tin helps open it up and then they are more enjoyable.

I like Virginias, Vapers, English, Virginia/burleys. I don’t like aromatics.
Ive heard great things about Opening Night, Sunday Picnic.

I enjoy specifically Speakeasy, Kajun Kake, OJK, OJK Blue, Night Train and Im going in on Haunted Bookshop. Think I prefer over OJk for the less punch it has. Tastes about the same to me with enough difference to stand on its own.

Ill recommend engine 99 as well.

Yup. I usually let them open up for about a month.
