Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady fed all the cats. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a set of walking reps in the cold and wind, and have passed the last quarter of this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. The rain stopped, but more is supposed to come. I kind of hate to write this, but I have noticed the ferals are happier with Norton the Nosey gone. All three are staying in now whereas they have been eating and running back out. I expected this to happen because cats are territorial, but I sure miss Norton today even if they don't.

Two bowls of Sutliff 507-c in the Pete Pub Pipe but the rain has shifted towards the house now so no protection on the back porch. I'll have another of something later when I run an errand. Probably PS LTF in the Barontini 1/2 spigot. Its become a bit of a bad weather workhorse. And yes I am very happy its not snow but it might be icy much later. I'm grateful there are plenty of leftovers on hand ... 🍖

Now there's a smörgåsbord! I recently finished a tin of Purple Pearl -- actually quite enjoyed it. My Neon and Blue tins I have yet to crack, perhaps soon though. 👍
Gladora is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and they are extremely reasonably priced too. Try letting the flake dry out, almost too much and then cut it in bigger than usual cubes - game changer!

Now that's a beautiful rack! Seems fairly efficient for what, 18 pipes? -- well done. Pipestem is a very cool name. It also looks like a gorgeous place. I really, really need a smoking lounge -- once it drops to the 30s and below (like now), it's just a bit nippy for me. Or I need a greenhouse ala @Fralphog . 😻
Yep, 18ct rack from a few scraps of material around the shop. My brother, at the time, was making pipes and gifting them to me for special occasions, so i figured i'd do something in like kind that year.

Happily in the lounge with a Celebi deep lattice, for a mid-day break, whilst attending the to-do list.

Certainly emphasize. We brought in two ferals (mother and kitten) for the winter. They do not mix well with our two resident felines so separate areas of the house for the pairs. Each have their own lovely personality and I would miss not having them all around.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Harry the Hairy is snoozin' in the Puma cardboard box. He was on the arm of my chair before that and got a little attention. When I was near the end of my walking reps, Tomato the Brave was headed for the sewer when I called to him to come to me. He came in to eat, and after getting a little attention, he wanted out. Both he and Daisy the Feral Princess stayed in last night out of the rain. That was the most relaxed that I have seen them lately.

I certainly knowing the feeling. M'lady and I have the missing the Norton blues today, but I know that we did the right thing for everybody. The little fella will adapt to my friend John fairly quickly so that gives me a lot of comfort.

McConnell's Black Parrot in a Peterson Irish Army 999: well, I bought the stuff, so I'm dam' well going to finish smoking it all before I allow myself to go on to anything else... this time, to my surprise, I could taste the previously-undetected Perique, which I assume is because of the randomness of the rubbing out of the flakes. Unless my palate had been sensitized by a couple of pints of Guinness...

It's strange that, despite the overall decline in quality (and I'm not just talking about tobacco), RMC still continues to make a high-quality, solid product. I actually only smoke the Heritage line regularly now.

Had Savinelli 140 in the Briarlee Illustrious driving in today.

Then had a demo/form job go to hell quick, was gonna let my crew take the lead (two guys that are still a in the consciously incompetent phase), but I had to jump in early and show ‘em how it’s done (all of it😉).
Bounced back and forth between the Kaywoodie push stem 8751 and a Ropp J11P with GLP Fillmore, OJKB, and my Dark Sails mix as work allowed, glad I packed two good clenchers today!
